Weather news: it continues to be cool
around here with plenty of rain to keep things green. I think most farmers in
the area have their crops in what is up continues to look good
ST John’s/Kongsvinger News: There
will be joint services at Kongsvinger on June 9th at 10:15
a.m.

Good Shepherd news: Sunday school age
kids will have an explorer Vacation Bible School at Lutheran Island Bible Camp
and Retreat Center near Henning MN on June 12th from 10 am -3

June 14th is Good Shepherd day at
Valley Fair. There is a sign-up sheet in the back of the church. For more info
on either event contact a member of the youth committee or the church at

Other church news: The next performance of the New Wine Show
“The Rock Slinger and his Greatest Hits” will be at Trinity Lutheran in Cyrus,
on June 9th at 3 p.m.
The Minnesota all -state Lutheran
choir will on tour though out the state from June 15-26th with performances in
Fergus Alex and Spicer among other places
Community news: sports events in
Donnelly this summer include:
Little League Games Monday and
Tuesday during June at Aanerud field, (the rendsville 4-h will be selling
lunch.)
Tri county horseshoe league games
Tuesday at the courts by the post office
Lady softball games also at Aanerud
field.
There will be a Fun Run to benefit
Tatum Libbesmeier and Jace Jo Pederson today (Saturday) with registration
starting at 10 am at the Herman Bar and Grill
and ending at the Place to be in Donnelly. There will be entertainment
there starting at 5 pm and a live band at 9 pm more info 320-287-0983 or 701

The annual ice cream social sponsored
by the Donnelly Community Club will be held at the Donnelly hall beginning at 7
pm on June 10th the ice cream is free however the Rendsville 4-h will be selling
pie to go with the ice cream. The club will have a meeting after the

Celebrations: Cooper John Fehr was born on May 14, to Mitch
and Abby Fehr of Morris. Grandparents
are Gary and Sandy Fehr, Mark and Mick Ekren, and Vance and Kim Gullickson all
of Morris. Great-grandmother is Ardis Gullickson
Caden Lee Grossman was born April 3,
to Trent and Robyn Grossman of North Branch.
Grandparents are Tim and Tammie Grossman and Dennis and Gail Andrew ski.

Zachary Cassel Huebner was born on
May 5, to Brent and Jackie Huebner of Morris. Grandparents are Gary and Karen

Ethan Werk was born to Craig and
Laura Werk on Feb 8th grandparents are Ken and Dianne Werk
Bonnie Eisel and Ricky Melchert were
united in marriage on Feb. 23 at the American Lutheran Church in Milbank, S.D.
Bonnie is the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Eisel of Donnelly and Ricky is the
son of Lloyd and Arlene Melchert of Morris.
The families of Anita Monroe
Rundquist and James Robert Stoker are pleased to announce their engagement. A
former resident of Morris and Donnelly, Anita is the daughter of Walter A.
(dec.) and Irene Monroe
Nicole Daly of Donnelly received high
honors from Southwest State University in Marshall for the spring 2013
semester.
Cammi Aanerud, a nursing major and a
resident of Donnelly, was among over 150 undergraduate students from Crown
College who made the Spring Dean's List.
Keith and Sheila Kaehler of Morris,
Kelly Braun of Nelson House, MB Canada and Deb and Todd Lohse of Elbow Lake are
pleased to announce the engagement of their children Joanna Braun and
Christopher Lohse. Grandparents of the bride are Paul Bruns of Morris and the
late Joan Bruns and Mildred and Janice Kaehler of Morris.
Death notice: Jean Smith, of Elbow
Lake, died Sunday, June 2, survivors include an aunt, Arlene Gulbrandson and her
family and several cousins and other family members in the Donnelly area, her
funeral is today (Saturday) at 1 pm at United Lutheran church in elbow

Jim and Lou Eystad attended the
graduation reception for Cody Beyer at First Lutheran on June 1st the good
shepherd Sunday school picnic at green river on June 2nd and the open house for
Lacey Eystad at the Donnelly hall on June 2nd. In the aft they visited her aunt
Marlys Alm and others at the West Wing Village
Linda (Koepke) O’ Kane of Fennimore
Wisconsin surprised her brother Mark, by coming to visit him here in Morris on
June 1st. She and her sister in law Sue
Steiner, from Rockford, Illinois, were up, to attend, their Herman high school
50th class reunion. Esther (Bryon) Gilbertson was also a member of that class.
Mark and I had dinner with them at the prairie inn in Morris. On June 2nd we attended services at Good
Shepherd and Kongsvinger, where she got to see some old friends. After services at Kongsvinger, I attended the
Good Shepherd Sunday school picnic at Green River park later I attended the open
house for Tyler Henrichs at old # 1 Southside in Morris.
