Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news.

Weather news: Some sunshine and warmer temps during the past week have lifted everybody’s spirits. Of course with the melting snow comes some flooding and many people like me have water in their basements.

ST. John's/ Kongsvinger news: There will be Joint services at 9:30 a.m. at Kongsvinger March 31st followed by Sunday school and the birthday bash and on April 7th at ST. John’s

Lenten services will be at 7 P.M. on April 3rd at Kongsvinger and on April 10th at St John’s followed by lunch.

GSLC church: Lenten services continue every week at 7 P.M. until Holy Week.
March 31st Seth Kincade speaks on Inspiration Point Bible Camp.

On April 8th from 3:45-4 p.m. the bookmobile will be in town on main st, at 7 p.m. the firemen will meet at the fire hall, the community club will have their annual meeting at the community hall, and the Rendsville 4-h meets in the FACS room and Kristi Lindquist classroom at MAHS. Note change of date for the meeting

Herman Red Hats meeting April 1st at 11 a.m. at Hunan Spring Restaurant at Fergus Falls

The Stevens county genealogical society will meet on April 4th at 1:30 p.m. at the Morris Library.

8th annual Kurt Kruize memorial supper April 8th, 5-7 p.m. at the Hancock community center, his grandfather is from Donnelly.

Donnelly city council meets on April 6th at 4 p.m. in the city office.

Corrine Krogh, of Morris, passed away on March 21st survivors include her granddaughter Ann (Brian) Erdahl of Morris, Brian is a former Donnelly area resident

Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news. This week’s column is in memory of my mom who passed away March 14th, 1994
Weather news: well it appears the weather is starting to take a turn for the better, after an all-day rain last Wed temps have moderated some with some sunny weather and melting snow thankfully the storm predicted for last week did not materialize.
ST. John's/ Kongsvinger news: There will be Joint services at 9:30 a.m. at ST. John’s March 24th and at Kongsvinger March 31st followed by coffee hour and Sunday school
Lenten services will be at 7 P.M. on March 27th at ST. John’s and April 3rd at Kongsvinger followed by lunch. The March newsletter has a copy of the complete schedule in it copies are available in the narthex of both churches.

Two Donnelly area residents passed away on March 15th; the first is Erwin (Sonny) Henrichs Jr.   Survivors include his wife Loraine, son Brian and three grandchildren all of the Donnelly area.
   The second is Floyd Miller; local survivors include his wife Joan, his brother Gene (Sharon) Miller, both of Donnelly and their families
Beatrice Fermoyle of Morris passed away on March 10th; survivors include her daughter former Donnelly area resident Kris (Phil) Kloos of Hoffman and their family
Grace Steuck of Chokio passed away on March 12th; survivors include her niece Diane (Glen) Amundson of Donnelly

Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news.
Weather news: if you do not like the weather in mn, wait, and it will change, Sat aft/eve brought about 10” of snow to Morris forcing most churches services and other events in the area to be canceled/ ppd on Sunday, by Tuesday temperatures got up to about 40 doing a lot of melting, it has been raining most of Wed. which is forecast to turn to snow as I am writing this wed eve.

March 17th    there will be a ST. PATRICK'S BRUNCH, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus St. Edward's Council #1527, will be held from 10:30 to 1 p.m. at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Free-will offering will benefit the Helping Hands Ministry.

Weather news: The weekend featured cold wind chills and blowing and drifting snow, supposed to warm up by the time you read this but also more snow and storms in the forecast for the weekend.

Noah Jay Sayles son of Kirby and Alissa (Melberg) is the newest member of Kongsvinger; his baptism was on Feb. 23rd

Lucille Bruns of Wheaton passed away on February 28th survivors include her niece Lisa (Mike) Melchert of Herman. Mike is a former Donnelly area resident
Former Donnelly area resident Agnes Kruize of Morris passed away on March 4th.
Hallie Louise Grout was born February 11, 2019, at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND to Courtney and Danny and big brother Finn Grout. Hallie weighed 5 pounds 4 ounces and was 18 inches long. Grandparents are Chris and Becky Vogel of Morris, Tom and Diane Grout of Elbow Lake. Great Grandparents are Shirley O'Keefe, Morris; Marlene Vogel, Morris; Carroll and Katie Mau, Elbow Lake. Carroll is a former Donnelly area resident
