Sept 1st-8th

Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news. Please note due to the labor day holiday I have an early deadline next week. (wed. noon)

Well, I have decided to start listing "normal" meetings; however, please check with somebody beforehand to find out for sure if a scheduled meeting/event is still on. I do not believe the bookmobile has restarted its visits to area towns yet. The Date and time of next community club mtg are TBA DFD is meeting 2 & 3rd Mon of the month, rendsville 4-H is TBA. City council meets on Sept 5th at 4 pm at the council chambers

Weather News, crops are looking good thanks to some timely rains no significant storm damage in our area.

ST. John's/Kongsvinger news: Sept. schedule TBA

 No other activities will take place in either church until further notice.

Rev. Rochelle Anderson of Morris will be providing pastoral care until further notice, if you need care, contact the parish office or one of the church presidents. You can also watch our "virtue" services on Facebook and YouTube.

The parish office is closed due to the COVID 19 outbreak, call 246-3211, or e-mail (stjKongsvinger@runestone.net) or send mail (box 97) when assistance is needed.

St. John's is having a quilt and more raffle drawing. On Sept 27th, the Drawing will take place following services. You can purchase tickets from any WELCA member.

Other Church news, Faith-Morris now has outdoor worship Sun at 9 am first-Morris is at 9:30 am.

The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church schedule: indoor & outdoor services will continue on Sun a.m. and wed eve services at least through Sept. S.S. will meet outside.

Please check with your local church for what their plans are. A reminder that you will find virtual services, devotions, etc. on fb, YouTube, local access channels, church websites and the radio for many the area churches

The Rendsville 4-h club is looking for volunteers to weed/maintain/water the rain garden in Donnelly by the fire hall as they are unable to do it themselves due to COVID 19. Thanks to the members, advisors, and parents for all the hard work they have put into making Donnelly look beautiful this year

Art Durke of Morris passed away on August 25th survivors include his daughter Peg (Brian) Kruize) and their family of Morris. Bran is a former Donnelly area resident
