Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news
Well, I have decided to start listing "normal" meetings; however, please check with somebody beforehand to find out for sure if a scheduled meeting/event is still on.
I do not believe the bookmobile has restarted its visits to area towns yet.
The Date and time of the next community club meetings are TBA.
DFD is meeting 2 and 3rd Mon of the month at 7 p.m.
Weather News, corn/beans look good due to timely rains.
ST. John's/Kongsvinger news: September schedule: drive-in service at St John's on September 27th service of the word September 13th (ST J) September 20th (Kong) all services are at 9:30 a.m. No other activities will take place in either church until further notice. The church without walls is on September 13th
Rev. Rochelle Anderson of Morris will be providing pastoral care until further notice; if you need care, contact the parish office or one of the church presidents. You can also watch our "virtue" services on Facebook and YouTube.
The parish office is closed due to the COVID 19 outbreak; call 246-3211, or e-mail (stjKongsvingeratrunestone.net) or send mail (box 97) when assistance is needed.
St. John's is having a quilt and more raffle drawing. On September 27th, the Drawing will take place following services. You can purchase tickets from any WELCA member.
Other Church news, Faith-Morris now has outdoor worship Sun at 9 a.m. first-Morris is at 9:30 a.m. TLC- Cyrus will have a parking lot service on September 27th at 9:30 a.m.
The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church schedule: indoor and outdoor services will continue on Sun a.m. and Wed eve services at least through September. SS will meet outside.
Please check with your local church for what their plans are. A reminder that you will find virtual services, devotions, etc. on fb, YouTube, local access channels, church websites and the radio for many area churches
Sandy Dunn has been busy posting pictures of our past royalty and other events on the threshing bee fb page.
Canceled: the RUSC Kinship quarter craze scheduled for September 19th.
Dan Luthi of Hancock passed away on August 31st, survivors include his son Arron (Amanda) Luthi of Donnelly & their family and sister-in-law Kay (Anderson) (Gene) Hacker of Hancock and their family. She is a former Donnelly area resident.
Herb Kloos of Barret, formerly of Donnelly, passed away on August 27th. Survivors include his wife Carol, son Paul (Gail), and their family, all of the Donnelly area.
