Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news
Weather news: it has been cool this week, some heat has felt
good. Crops continue to look good; some corn is being cut for silage.
ST. John's/Kongsvinger news: September schedule: service of
the word on Sept. 20th (Kong) drive-in service at St John’s on Sept. 27th, all
services are at 9:30 a.m. No other activities will take place in either church
until further notice.
Rev. Rochelle Anderson of Morris will be providing pastoral
care until further notice; if you need care, contact the parish office or one
of the church presidents. You can also watch our "virtue" services on
Facebook and YouTube.
The parish office is closed due to the COVID 19 outbreak;
call 246-3211, or e-mail (stjKongsvinger@runestone.net) or send mail (box 97)
when assistance is needed.
St. John's is having a quilt and more raffle drawing. On
Sept. 27th, the Drawing will take place following services. You can purchase
tickets from any WELCA member.
Other Church news, Faith-Morris now has outdoor worship Sun
at 9 a.m. first-Morris is at 9:30 a.m. TLC- Cyrus will have a parking lot
service on Sept. 27th at 9:30 a.m.
The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church schedule: indoor and
outdoor services will continue on Sun a.m. and Wed eve services at least
through September. SS will meet outside
after the drive-in services about 10:45 a.m.

are. A reminder that you will find virtual services, devotions, etc. on fb,
YouTube, local access channels, church websites, and the radio for many area
churches
Sandy Dunn has been busy posting pictures of our past
royalty and other events on the threshing bee fb page.
There will be no Rusc
kinship quarter craze on Sept. 19th.
Vern Olson of Hoffman passed away on Aug. 30th. Survivors
include his wife Janet, a former Donnelly area resident.
Former Donnelly area resident Delbert Henrichs of new Richland Wis. passed away on Aug. 26th
People with Donnelly ties that have passed away in the past
few weeks include: include Herb Kloos, Art Durke, Gene Kummrow, and Bob
Sept. 9th, I stopped in to see Jim & Lou Eystad in their
home in Donnelly for a few minutes. They both are doing well.
For sale in Donnelly: an old fire engine (DFD) and wooden desks
(community club); contact an officer of either org for more details.

Dan Luthi funeral, bible study, wed eve services all at GSLC-Morris
