Weather news: most of the past week had been reasonably
decent temps wise, but some strong winds have made it feel cold and as I am
writing this Thursday a.m. we have had -0 temps overnight
St. John's/ Kongsvinger news: at 9:30 a.m. on January
20th at Kongsvinger there will be joint
services followed by the annual meeting and potluck dinner, no coffee hour or
Sunday school it will also be new member Sunday, on January 27th at St John’s
followed by Sunday school, the annual meeting and a potluck dinner
Gslc news: (Special Guest) Johan Hinderlie of 1517 Legacy
will be preaching and leading adult education on January 20th
The Bookmobile will be in town on January 28th from 3:45- 4
p.m. on Main Street
Donnelly Rod and Gun club's annual ice fishing tournament is
today (Saturday) at Pomme de Terre public access north of Morris starting with
registration at 9 a.m.
RUSC Kinship’s annual hot dish cook-off is January 28th
starting at 5:15 p.m. at Faith Morris.
The Habitat for Humanity fundraising breakfast is on January
20th from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the legion in Morris; free will offering.
Bar bingo sponsored by the Donnelly fire department has
started up again at the Place to be-Donnelly and will continue monthly until
further notice. Contact the bar or a fire department member for more info
I have some significant milestones to report on this week:
former Donnelly area residents David Jergenson turned 101, and Bertha Larson
celebrated her 97th birthday, and Jim and Lou Eystad celebrated their 65th
wedding anniversary recently.
Dennis Olson of Watertown MN formerly of Donnelly passed
away on January 19th
Past week adult Ed and bible study at GSLC, BBB at the met
lounge
