Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news
Weather news: after a few months off, winter has returned with bitterly cold temps, and officially about 8” of snow last Thur.-Fri, some areas esp. in the country got about twice that amount and more snow/stormy weather on Monday meaning snow removal equipment got a good work out in the past week. Thanks to Rick Hesse for blowing me out after the storms.
St. John's/ Kongsvinger news: at 9:30 a.m. on January 6th there will be joint services at Kongsvinger and on January 13th at ST. John’s followed by coffee hour and s.s.
Annual meetings are January 20th at Kongsvinger and the 27th at ST. John’s
2018 KMRS broadcast dates are January 27th, April 28th, July 7th, September 15th, and December 15th contact the parish office for more info.
Gslc news: (Special Guest) Johan Hinderlie of 1517 Legacy will be preaching and leading adult education on January 20th
Tuesday a.m. bible study resumes on January 15th at 10 a.m.
The Bookmobile will be in town on January 14th from 3:45- 4 p.m. on Main Street
Donnelly City council meets today (Saturday) at 4:00 p.m. at city hall
Rendsville 4-h meets on January 7th at 7 p.m. at St. John’s
Donnelly rod and gun club annual ice fishing tournament January 19th at Pomme de Terre public access north of Morris starting with registration at 9 a.m. For more info or to purchase a raffle ticket talks to Craig Awsumb at Willie’s super valu
Rusc Kinship’s annual hotdish cook-off is January 28th starting at 5:15 p.m. at faith Morris.
On Sunday, January 6th there will be an open house wedding reception for Mac and Gabrielle (Nienhaus) Feuchtenberger will be held from 2:30 to 4 pm at the Apostolic Christian Faith Fellowship Hall, 24982 State Hwy 9. Gabi’s grandmother Geesien Kruize Kill is a former Donnelly area resident.
Former Donnelly area resident Lillian Heinrich of Morris passed away on December 30th. She was my neighbor for many years. Her funeral is today (Saturday) at 11 am at Kongsvinger
Past week: a visit to my aunt pearl in her room at the courage cottage and Vedar Harstad in his apt at Green river apts, Clarence Giese visitation at the funeral home and funeral for him at ST. John’s, BBB at the met lounge helped with naps at sr. center
