Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news. Weather news: the Christmas weekend was marked by some light snow and very cold temps and wind chills

Most Donnelly business will be closed on January 1st

St. John’s/ Kongsvinger news: On December 31st there will be Joint services at Kongsvinger at 10 a.m., no S.S. and our services will be broadcast over the radio (KMRS) at 11 a.m., sponsored by Mark Koepke and me in memory of my parents and his foster parents and foster brother Bobby.

Gslc news: reminder our sermon is broadcast on KKOK 95.7 at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays

Other church news: On January 8^th The Bookmobile will be in town, in front of HD and co, from 3:45-4 p.m. and the Donnelly fire department meets at 7 p.m. at fire hall

City council meets on January 6^th at 4 p.m.at city hall

Rendsville 4-h meets on January 2^nd at 7 p.m. at St. John’s -Donnelly

Herman red hatters will meet on January 8^th at AJ’s in Herman at 9 a.m.

Habit for humanity pancake breakfast fundraiser January 14^th 8 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at legion-Morris

Celebrations: Madison Alatha Ennen was born December 18^th to Brian and Laura Ennen of Morris, Grandparents are Dale and Jeanne Ennen of Donnelly and Dave and Jesse Wolff of Chokio, and great grandparents are Arnold and Janice Ennen of Herman and Russ and Joan Wolff of Morris.

Brittany Judith Olson was born to Ashley and David Olson of Alex on Dec. 26th grandparents are Loren & Kaylene (Kleinhans) Mecklenburg of Morris, Keith and Sheila Olson of Victoria great-grandmother is Marge Kleinhans of Morris

Chelsey Hurlbut and Cody Murray of Mesa AZ. were engaged on December 25^th. Her parents are Fara Gibson and Craig Hurlbut of AZ.  Her grandparents are Mike Hurlbut of AZ. and the late Bev Hurlbut of Donnelly, great-grandparents were the late Albert and Pearl Anderson of Donnelly, and Milo and Betty Hurlbut of Herman

Thanks to Santa for the fruit basket I found in my door last week and to my neighbor for the goodies I found in my door when I got home Sunday evening.

Death notices: Ellard Larson of Evansville passed away on December 19^th he was my mom’s cousin

December 23^rd I stopped into McCollar Jewelry to wish Wally a Merry Christmas
