Note I will have my annual graduation list in next week’s Column. If you have a graduate you want me to recognize especially from higher Ed let me know

Weather news: it has been sunny and mild most of the week, although as I am writing this Wednesday it has been raining most of the day, farmers are busy making up for lost time in getting crops in

St. John’s Kongsvinger news: On May 21st, the graduates from our parish will be recognized during a brunch at Kongsvinger at 10 a.m. and at services at 11 a.m.

The summer schedule starts May 28th with joint services at St.  John’s at 10 a.m. continues on May 31st at 7 p.m. at Kongsvinger, June 4th at Kongsvinger.  A complete schedule can be found in the May newsletter, copies are available at both churches, the po in Donnelly, or from the parish office

GSLC news: Wednesday evening services start on June 7th at 7 p.m.

Community news:  On May 22nd the Bookmobile will be in Donnelly on Main St from 3:45-4 p.m.,

Herman Red Hats meet June 5th, at 9 a.m. at AJ's. Please bring photo of your dad 

RUSC Kinship Growing Kids and Kinship Garden Gala and patio dedication will be held at the Pomme de Park on June 8th from 5-7:30 p.m.
The Stevens county genealogical society will meet the Morris museum June 1st at 1:30 pm note change of location from previous meetings. More info 585-6435

Death notices: committal services for former Donnelly area resident Marylin Hagen of California, will be held on June 13th at 11 a.m. at the Kongsvinger Lutheran cemetery of rural Donnelly

Former Donnelly area resident Joann (Frank) Christianson of Lakeville passed away on May 13th, her funeral is at 1 pm on May 22nd at Grace Lutheran Church in Apple Valley, MN.

Cork Loge was recognized for 30 yrs. of service to Morris area schools

Chandler Erickson first team all-conference team in the Upper Midwest athletic conference in baseball

MaKenzie Smith has been named a Butch Raymond Scholarship recipient by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference

Brooke Gillespie was named to the National Honor Society at Chokio-Alberta H.S.

Past wk. visit to my aunt Pearl to wish her a happy mother’s day, Hancock rummage sales, UMM graduation, Grant co fair fundraiser in Herman, Syttende Mai celebration at First Morris
