Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news, I want to wish my mom a happy mother’s day in heaven

Weather news: as they say in Minnesota if you do not like the weather, wait it will change been true in the last week as we went from snow on May 1^st to 80 degrees a few days later. Needless to say farmers are very busy in the fields making up for lost time getting their crops in.

St. John’s Kongsvinger news: youth club will meet on May 17^th St. John's at 4 p.m.

The graduates from our parish will be recognized during a brunch at Kongsvinger at 10 a.m. and at services at 11 a.m. on May 21st; anyone in the parish who has a graduate this year please let the parish office ASAP so they can be recognized then.

The summer schedule starts May 28^th and ends on Sept 3^rd. A complete schedule can be found in the May newsletter, copies are available at both churches, the po in Donnelly, or from the parish office

Community news: The Rockin C ranch of rural Donnelly will have a special promotion on May 14th, all mothers get in free

On May 15^th the Donnelly fire department will meet at 7 p.m. at the fire hall

On May 22nd the Bookmobile will be in Donnelly on Main St from 3:45-4 p.m.,

Death notices: Marie Elizabeth Kne of Brainerd passed away on May 5^th. Survivors include her daughter Sue (Rev. Mike) Nelson of Donnelly.

Former Donnelly area resident Keith Henrichs of Milaca passed away on May 4^th. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Shirley Heinrich of Donnelly

Former Donnelly resident Jim Weinreis of Morris passed away on May 8^th his memorial service is May 19^th at the West Wind Village

A daughter Phebe Joy, was born to Jessica Bergstrom of Donnelly and Joe Oelke on May 3rd, her grandmother is Becky Bergstrom of Donnelly, her great grandmother is Irene strand of Morris

Tiger track :Little Croix meet :boys (5^th )100 m Levin Strand (15^th ) ;was part of the 4x100 relay team (that finished third; Girls :(3^rd )100 m Islande Speer (40^th   ); Savannah Aanenurd was part of 4 x 800m relay team finished third; Breckinridge  meet boys (3^rd )200 m Brady Cardwell (7th )Micah Aanerud (17^th ) ;Girls (1^st) ;100M Islande Speer (16^th )800 m Savannah Aanerud (4^th  )she was part of the 4x800 relay team that finished first; Density Pollard throws (31^st )  discus (36^th ) true team at Holdingford Savannah 1600m (first)

The Donnelly community club had another lengthy meeting on May 8^th as we continue to make plans for the bee and other events reminder the bee is Aug. 26 and 27^th this year’s feature is Allis Chalmers
