Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news

Weather news: well after a fairly nice weekend it has turned cold and I write this it is snowing and blowing and drifting.

Correction: advent services are at Good Shepherd Lutheran church-Morris not St. John’s –Kongsvinger-Donnelly

St. John’s Kongsvinger news: **Hat and Mitten Trees – St. John’s and Kongsvinger will once again be providing Hat and Mitten trees – during the last week in November and the first two weeks of December. Be watching for more information coming soon.

Christmas card club runs through December 18th donations for Lutheran Campus Ministry can be given to either Gertie Werk or Bertha Larson

Sunday school programs will be held at St. John’s on December 11th at 9:45 a.m. and at Kongsvinger on December 18th at 5:30 p.m. with light lunch to follow

Parish office will be closed thru December 12

Christmas Eve services at St. John’s at 9 p.m., joint services on December. 25th at 10 a.m. at Kongsvinger

The newest member of Kongsvinger is Thorstien Larson (David and Hannah) who was baptized on December. 3rd at Kongsvinger.

Donnelly youth club at St. John’s on December 21st 4-6 p.m.

Regular church actives i.e. adult Ed, Tuesday a.m. bible study etc. will resume when Freddie gets better

Living nativity will be held at Faith Lutheran-Morris at 3 and 5:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve

Community events: Christmas dinner at First Lutheran Morris on December. 25th starting at noon

Habitat for humanity Stevens County will be having a community impact fundraiser at the pizza ranch Morris on December 12th from 5-8 p.m.

Edward Backman of Kensington passed away on November 27th survivors include his son -in -law Jeff Harstad of Donnelly granddaughter former Donnelly area resident Kayla (Josh) Erdahl of Alexandria
