December 3-9th
Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news
Weather news: much of the last week has been cold and rainy thankfully so far no major snow. Most of the snow on the ground has melted
St. John’s Kongsvinger news: St. John’s Welca Christmas party will be held on December 6th at 1:30 p.m.
**Hat and Mitten Trees – St. John’s and Kongsvinger will once again be providing Hat and Mitten trees – during the last week in November and the first two weeks of December. Be watching for more information coming soon.
Tickets for St. John’s “where’s the beef dinner” raffle are now available from any St John's members the drawing will be held on December 4th at 9:30 a.m.
Christmas card club runs through December 18th donations for Lutheran Campus Ministry can be given to either Gertie Werk or Bertha Larson
Sunday school programs will be held at St. John’s on December 11th at 9:45 a.m. and at Kongsvinger on December 18th at 5:30 p.m. with light lunch to follow practice will be held on December 7th at 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s
Parish office will be closed December 5 thru December 12

Tuesday a.m. bible study will resume next month
Reminder the services are broadcast every Sunday at 10:35 a.m. on KKOK 95.7 FM
Advent services start on December 7th at 7 p.m. at the church

Faith –Morris Sunday school program December 17th during 11 a.m. worship service first-Morris Sunday school program on December 11th at 10:30 a.m.
Holiday tea sponsored by the women’s fellowship at federated-Morris on December 7th 2-5 pm

Community events: on December 5th at the brick house gazebo in Morris the Red Hats Christmas Party will be held at 11:30a.m. , and at 7 p.m. the Donnelly city council will meet at the city hall and the Rendsville 4-h club will meet at St. John’s

The following events are being held today (Saturday) Stevens county historical society’s annual open house December 3rd 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the museum and The senior citizens will have their Annual bazar at the Morris senior center December 3rd 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Pedersen funeral home’s a time of remembrance will be held on December 4th at 2 p.m. at the funeral home
Former Donnelly area resident Marvel Wagner passed away on November 26th
Edward Backman of Kensington passed away on November 27th survivors include his son -in -law Jeff Harstad of Donnelly granddaughter former Donnelly area resident Kayla (Josh) Erdahl of Alexandria

The threshing bee royalty were part of the parade of lights in Morris on November. 17th
Rebekah Aanerud was awarded a star farmer award at the national FFA convention recently
