St. John’s Kongsvinger news: Sunday school program will be
held at Kongsvinger on December 18th at 5:30 p.m. with light lunch to follow
Donnelly youth club at St. John’s on December 21st 4-6 p.m.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church news: donations to the Freddie
Hanson fund can be left at or mailed to the Dacotah bank in Morris

Christmas Eve services at 5 p.m.; Christmas day at 10 a.m.

Ss program during church on December 18th, due to the cold weather
the ski trip planned for that afternoon has been postponed new time and date to
be announced
Other church news: Faith Lutheran Morris news Sunday school
program December 18th during 11 a.m. worship service; Living nativity will be
held at 3 and 5:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve
Trinity –Alberta has purchased the former Nazarene church in
Alberta and will hold their first service there on December 24th at 5 P.M. The
final service at the old church will be held on December 18th at 10:30 A.M.
with Christmas program at 3 P.M.
Community events: most Donnelly business will close early on
Christmas Eve and many will do so on New Year’s Eve too
There will be a Christmas dinner at First Lutheran Morris on
December 25th, starting at noon
The Herman red hats’ meeting is January 2nd at 9 A.M. at
AJ’s. (Gas station) in Herman
Former Donnelly area resident Shannon Smith, and her family,
will be celebrating her 20th anniversary on the Home Shopping Network with a
special program airing today (Saturday) at 6 P.M. on the network check local
listing for time and channel in your area.
Death notice Jeffrey Charles Ellison of Elk River passed
away on December 7th local survivors include his aunt Deb (Mark) Erickson of
Donnelly and their family
Celebrations: Morris bantams won the Dakota Premier Classic
Tournament championship in Brookings; SD. Team members include Brady Loge, his
dad Ryan is an assistant coach.
Tiger wrestling Grant County invitational (6th) Brady
Cardwell placed third, the West central area knights were the champions; Keaton
Long of the Knights was champion at 160 lbs.
Tiger gymnastics vs. Fergus falls; Savannah Aanerud 5th on
Bars
Tiger swimming and diving: home triangular; Levin Strand
first in the 100 breaststroke
