Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news:
Weather news: Many residents in the Morris area still
cleaning up from the June 21st storm. Thankfully the weather has been sunny and
warm since then giving crops time to recover from the storm. Farmers are busy
spraying and haying. Corn continues to look very good
ST John’s/Kongsvinger news: there will be joint services at
Kongsvinger at 10:15 am on July 7th followed by a time of fellowship for Jerry
and Erica Loher and family. He is being deployed to Afghanistan later this
summer. Note change of time from what
was announced earlier. His parents are
jerry Jr.; Jody Lohr grandmother is Bertha Larson
There will be joint services at St John's on July 14 @10:15
am
The July newsletter is now out extra copies are available

Rev Judy Gellinske, the parish pastor for the past 4 1/2 years,
has announced she will be retiring on Aug. 1st.
Good Shepherd news: food will be collected for the food
shelf on July 7th
The July coffee money goes to life right outreach ministries
in Alexandria

Other church news: “Heart’s Desire” conference at Hosanna
worship center July 9th at 7 pm
Community news: on July 8th the Donnelly community club will
meet at the town hall and the firemen will meet at the fire hall @ 7 pm and the
bookmobile will be in town at 3:30 pm

LaVille Larson of Bozeman MT passed away on June 7th. Her
husband was a cousin of my Mom
Former Alberta resident David Andert passed away June 21st
survivors include his cousins the Kopacek family of Donnelly
Nominations for our 2013 Donnelly Threshing Bee Royalty are
now being accepted
July 1 thru July 15.

There will be an Erickson family reunion at Kongsvinger on
June 20th beginning with a potluck dinner at noon. All family
members are invited
Lucas Schmiesing (Randy and Karla) (Wally and Marlys Geise)
was a recent graduate of North Dakota state university
Jerry and Joan Kopacek attended an enjoyable Women’s Week at
Luther Crest Bible Camp.
On June 25th Craig
and Cork Loge and I attended the final little league game of the year in
Donnelly, later Jack Fuchs and I watched another one at Wells Park in Morris.
Several Donnelly area
residents were among those of us who attended the Kiwanis talent contest in
Morris on June 27th
The Stabekk School Band from Oslo, Norway was one of the
bands featured in the Viking land band festival in Alexandria on June 30th. The
726 cadets were grand champions. After the ceremony I visited with a friend in
the Bethany home. I then stopped by the
future home of the living word Lutheran church in Alexandria
Several Donnelly area kids were among the “new whiners” who
performed their homecoming concert at First Lutheran on July 2nd
