Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news
Weather News: after a cold week temps have moderated some this week, but there is a lot of snow and ice out there meaning one has to be careful about walking and driving
Donnelly church news: There will be joint services at 9:30 a.m. on the first 1st,3rd, and 5th Sundays at Kongsvinger, the 2nd, and 4th Sundays of the month at St John's followed by Sunday school and coffee fellowship.
Communion services are on the 1st and 4th Sundays of the month
The annual church meetings are on January 19th (Kongsvinger), and January 26th (ST. John's) both meetings following joint services about 10:30 a.m. Kongsvinger will have a potluck dinner st John’s will have a furnished dinner afterward not a potluck as previously announced
No KCLW in January or February
Broadcasts available for sponsorship in 2020 are 4/26, 7/5, 9/13 and 12/13. To sponsor one contact the parish office.
Good Shepherd Lutheran church news: the church is looking for a new secretary if interested contact the church at 585-6868
No more Tuesday A.M. bible studies or Sunday adult Ed until further notice.
BBB will continue at 7 p.m. at the Fireside restaurant in Morris on Wednesday evenings until Ash Wednesday.
The Bookmobile will be in town on Main St January 27th from 2:45–3 p.m. note new time
No Donnelly community club or Stevens county Genealogical society meetings until spring
DFD meets on January 20th at 7 p.m. at the fire hall
Donnelly Rod and Gun club annual ice fishing contest on January 18th at the Pomme de Terre public access
Bar Bingo at the place to be in Donnelly. Contact the bar for more info and future dates
Rusc Kinship open house today (Tue.) 5–7 p.m. at their office at 2-1 Atlantic ave in Morris.
On February 18th at Faith-Morris, their annual warm hearts and hot dishes event will be held.
There will be an open house 90th birthday party for Andy Brevig at Kongsvinger in February
Wally McCollar and I attended the 90th birthday party for Delores Bruns at the Barrett Care center on January 5th
The Kopacek family and I were among those who attended the funeral for Laurie Dornquist January 7th at Faith Morris
Don Stroman of Chokio passed away on December 30th. Survivors include his daughter-in-law Karen of Az. She worked at the Donnelly bank for several years
New address: Jim and Lou Eystad C% of the Legacy  622 E 7th st Morris MN 56267. I visited them Sun aft Jim is doing much better
The MBA storm won their hockey tournament during the Christmas break Brady Loge is a member of that team.
