Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news. I want to wish my Mom a Happy Mother’s Day up in Heaven.

Weather news: well temps have been relatively mild for most of the past week. Farmers are busy in the field, although as I am writing this Wednesday evening, we got about 2 “of rain on Tuesday

St. John's/ Kongsvinger news: Baccalaureate Sunday will be held on May 20th, starting with Brunch at 10 A.M. followed by joint services at 11 A.M. at St John’s, we have one H.S. graduate from each Church this year. If you have an H.S. or a Higher Ed grad this year, please let the parish office know ASAP. Also, I tentatively plan to have my annual graduation recognition column on June 2nd, so if you do have any graduates, please let me know too

The summer schedule starts on May 27th with joint services at Kongsvinger at 9:30 a.m. In June, July, and August there will be joint services at a 9:30 a.m. at Kongsvinger on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday’s St. John’s on the 2 and 4^th Sundays.  You can find the schedule in the May newsletter; copies are available in the narthex of both churches or from the parish office

Registration is now open for VBS this summer to be held at Faith July 30th Aug 2nd together with Faith, first and trinity Cyrus, contact the church office for more info

GSLC NEWS Muffins for Moms on May 13th during coffee fellowship a free will offering to raise money for new playground equipment

There will be worship services on Wednesday evenings starting in June at 7 pm

Other church news: Today (Saturday) from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. there will be a Ladies Brunch to celebrate Mother’s Day in the dining hall at Faith Lutheran.

Pancake breakfast at 1st-Morris May 13th 10:40 a.m.

On May 14th at 7 p.m. the Donnelly community club and the firemen meet at city hall and fire hall

The Bookmobile will be in town on May 21st on Main St from 3:45-4 p.m.

Death notice Edna Knopp of Starbuck passed away on May 3rd survivors include her daughter in law Nancy (Stoneberg) (Glen) of Morris and their families Nancy is a former Donnelly resident.

Evelyn Bolluyt of Hancock passed away on May 6th survivors include her daughter Shirley (Darrell) Uhden of Kensington, Darrel is a former Donnelly area resident

Committal service for former Donnelly resident Dick Goldenstein will be held on May 20th at 2 p.m. at Vinger cemetery by Donnelly
