Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news. Happy New Year

Weather news: the New Year’s weekend was marked by bitter cold temperatures and wind chills
St. John’s/ Kongsvinger news: un-decorating of both churches will take place on January 7th, at St. John’s following a pot luck dinner, following the 11 a.m. services, and following coffee hour at Kongsvinger
 Annual meetings are January 21st (St John’s) January 28th (Kongsvinger) meetings will be held after services followed by a dinner. Note that services times will switch on January 28th. Reports for annual reports are due today (Saturday)
Gslc news: Bible study resumes on January 9th
Donnelly youth club meets on January 17th at 4 p.m.
 On January 8th The Bookmobile will be in town, in front of HD and co, from 3:45-4 p.m. and the Donnelly fire department meets at 7 p.m. at fire hall
City council meets today (Saturday) at 4 p.m.at city hall
Rendsville 4-h meets on January 8th at 7 p.m. at St. John’s -Donnelly
Herman red hatters will meet on January 8th at AJ’s in Herman at 9 a.m.
Habit for humanity pancake breakfast fundraiser January 14th 8   a.m. -12:30 p.m. at legion-Morris
Warm hearts and hot dishes sponsored by RUSC on January 23rd at 5 p.m. at faith Morris
Celebrations: Tiger wrestling; Brave invitational, Tristian Raths, 6th at 182, Brady Cardwell, champ at 160
David and Juliette Jergenson recently celebrated their 100th & 94th birthdays

Death notices: Norene G. Kaehler of Morris passed away on December 20th survivors include her brother in law Milford Kaehler of Donnelly and his family. Her memorial service will be held on January 24th at Zion in Morris at 11 a.m.
  Lorraine Awsumb of Morris passed away on December 31st; local survivors include her nephew Craig, and her niece Pat (Mark) Smith of Donnelly and their family. Her funeral is January 12th at 2 p.m. at Kongsvinger

Former Donnelly area resident Jodie (Toots) (Goldenstein) Janke passed away on December 26th, local survivors include her brother, Charlie Goldenstein of Chokio
Past wk., visit to my aunt pearl in her apt in Skyview, visitation for Erwin Anderson at funeral home, and his funeral at First Lutheran, NAPS w/Eystads, BBB at met lounge
