Weather news it has rained off and on most of the past week, see some beans are starting to be harvested

St. John’s/ Kongsvinger news: On October First the Morris area community church choir will sing at a combined parish 11 A.M. service at St. John's in Donnelly. The choir is composed of singers from at least six area parishes.

Gslc news: Gs members are asked to wear their Freddy’s force to church on October 1st to celebrate the end of chemo treatments for Freddy

Other church news: Faith Lutheran will have an outreach breakfast on October 1st during fellowship hour to raise support for the missionary they support in Africa

              

Community news: On October. 9^th the bookmobile will be in town on Main St. from 3:30-3:45 p.m.

City council meeting on October 7th at 4 p.m. at city hall

Donnelly community club will meet on October 9^th at 7 p.m. at the community hall

2^nd annual Steve Larson double darts tournament will be held on October 7^th at The Place To Be in Donnelly starting with registration at 10:30 a.m., continuing with a hog roast and other activities throughout the Day. More info call the bar at 246-3221

Open House Baby Shower for Baby Beyer, son of Mac and Xochil, will be held today (Saturday) from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. They are registered at Target. All are welcome and invited to attend.

 Alexandra's miracle mission’s 2^nd annual 5/2 K run/walk October 14^th starting at 8 a.m. at Pomme de Park’s main shelter

Herman Red Hats meet at 9 a.m. on October 2^nd at AJ’s in Herman

On October 8th the Someplace Safe pancake fundraiser will be held at Old #1 Southside from 9 a.m.-12:30p.m. Tickets available at the door and the Options for Women Respect Life banquet will be held starting at 4:30 pm at Morris Evangelical Free Church. Tickets available at Options for Women in Morris

Alex Winther was born on September 10^th to Ryan and Jill Winther of Herman. Grandparents are Paul and Nancy Thompson of Herman and Bob Winther of Herman. Great-grandparents are Glen and Gertie Werk of Donnelly

Death notices: Steve Gibbs for Moorhead passed away on September 23^rd local survivors include his grandparents; Dennis and Jan (Anderson) of Alex. He was my third cousin

Former Donnelly area resident Rev. Arnold Jergenson of Silverdale Washington passed away on September 24^th

Former Donnelly resident Marge Trost Speer passed away on September 19^th. Local survivors include her daughter Becky (Chuck) Hennen of Morris and their family. No funeral service

The Threshing Bee royalty were part of the Lake Region Threshermen’s Association parades (regular and machinery) in Dalton and Applefest in Appleton recently
