news: it was hot weekend en route home from ktown I ran into some heavy showers

St
John’s/Kongsvinger news: The fellowship committee
met after services at St. John’s on June 15th as
we started making plans for the garden (block) party to be held on July 30th
at St John’s. Hopefully there will be some produce from the new parish community
garden that was planted next to St. John’s this year ready to be served.
Good Shepherd news: Angel Scott will be ordained today
(sat) at 2 p.m. at Good Shephard Lutheran
Church-Morris she has been working as intern since last Aug part-time at Gs and
St. John’s -starbuck
Other church
news: the MN all-state Lutheran choir will be touring the state in June full

Wednesday night
alive at Trinity Lutheran Cyrus every Wed. eve at 7 p.m. at the church
throughout the summer
St John’s-
Starbuck annual ice cream social w/BBQS will be held on June 26th
from 11 a.m. -1: 30 p.m. at the church located about half ways between Starbuck
and Cyrus
Community
news: due to the 4th of July
the Donnelly city council will meet on July 5th
at city hall at 7pm
Community
hog roast and fundraiser for the stork bus today (sat.)5-8 p.m. at Assumption Church Morris
Starting on July
1stand running through the 15th applications will be
taken for little Miss Donnelly (8-10) and Threshing
Bee queen (14-18) applications can be dropped
off at boxes in HD & Co Donnelly Co-op or post office or
email to werkcrew@runestone.net or lsdunn@runestone.net
Celebrations: Greg Swartz memorial wrestling camp most valuable
wrestlers included Brady Cardwell
Among the
winners at the recent Hancock h.s. awards was Brent Nienhaus Phy-ed (9th
grade)
MAES Phyed award winners include Charli Erdahl Addison Cihak,
Travis Fults, and Austin Raths
Joan and
Jerry Kopacek attended the VFW Convention in Rochester June 9-12th.
The Threshing Bee royalty and
Donnelly fire department were part of the community picnic parade in Chokio on
June 11th
The royalty
were also part of the Runestone Days parade in Kensington
on June 19th
