The threshing bee royalty had a busy weekend. On
July 7th they participated in the Hancock and Wendell parades and Kamern
Sperr was in the parade in Starbuck on July 8th. They went through the Wendell parade a second
time on Sandy Dunn’s float, “hats off” to her and her family for doing a fantastic
job of putting that parade together. The Dfd was also a part of the Hancock parade;
I thought the Hancock band again did an excellent job of playing and preforming.
After the Hancock parade I watched part of the tractor pull some of the pullers
will probably be in Donnelly for the one at the threshing bee, later I attended
part of the “jam” session at Della Conroy’s house. After the Wendell parade I stopped
to visit Vivian Johnson. After the starbuck parade I visited several friends in
the home and Donna Frank and Inga Mae Urke in their homes. On the 7th
I also traveled to Herman to help with some painting at the fairgrounds and in
the eve went back to Hancock for the fireworks show
The community club will have a fund raiser during
the threshing bee to refurbish the float I will have more details later
