Belton--- Funeral services for David Wayne Carlson, age 68, of Florence, will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday April 4, 2012 at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dana Wilhelmsen officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 PM to 8PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. David died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at his home in Florence. He was born March 19, 1944 in Graceville, Minnesota the son of the late Roy and Margaret (Ewert) Carlson. David honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. He has lived in the central Texas area for 34 years and was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Belton. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post #4008 in Belton. He is preceded in death by his loving parents and one sister, Cari Stattelman. Survivors include two sons, Tracy and Tim Carlson; one daughter, Nina Carlson; three brothers, Ronnie, Robert and Jerry Carlson; three sisters, Jennie Bengston, Marilyn Homrighausen, Denese Carlson; four grandchildren, Daniela, Roy, Valeria and Cody Carlson; and his life long friend and companion, Barb Christenson.
