Weather News: after several weeks of cold, it has finally warmed up some

St, John's/Kongsvinger news: services are now being held indoors again with some restrictions in place. If you do not wish to go inside, you may remain in your car and listen in on your car radio 98.5 .service bulletins are inside the Kitchen door of both churches.

 

 

Lenten services will continue to alternate between churches at 7 p.m.

 Services are at 9:30 a.m., on the 1st, 3rd, 5th Sun at Kongsvinger, the 2nd and 4th Sun at St, John's. Communion is on the 1st and 4th Sun of the month. The Parish office remains closed; call or e-mail if you need assistance. For the time being, Rev. Rochelle Anderson is providing pastoral care. Please contact a council president if you need pastoral care or call her at 320-287-2663.  On Sunday at 10:30 at Kongsvinger, we have resumed having regular ss. Please check with somebody about the status of other events in the parish, i.e., "ladies aide."

Bonnie Mae (Dunnum) Drinkwitz of Morris passed away on Feb 22^nd survivors include her sister racy (Howard) Huebner of Fargo, ND; Howard is a former Donnelly resident

Death notice Lyla Cin of Glenwood, formerly of Donnelly, passed away on Feb 7th. Survivors include her husband Les of Glenwood and sister-in-law Irene Strand of Morris (both formerly of Donnelly )and their families.

In the Feb.16th edition of the Morris paper, a list of students made the honor roll at Morris area schools. Some Donnelly kids are on the list too many to list here, so congrats to them all.

 

If you have time, stop into the Stevens county museum and look at the display on bands in Stevens County, including the old Kongsvinger one.

The Donnelly Fire Department recently received tokens of appreciation in the form of cookies from the Morris VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.

The Kongsvinger Annual meeting has been rescheduled for Feb 21st same place, time followed by the annual meeting of the Kong cemetery assoc.

Past week: Randy Freud was the guest preacher at GS, and I attended bible study there. I also attended the open house at the museum on bands in Stevens co mn. The Kongsvinger band is one of those highlighted.

Death notices: Roberta Reynolds of Cyrus passed away on Jan. 21st survivors include her daughter Kim bill Bouressa of Cyrus and Tamara (Robert) Bisgard of Donnelly and their families; Bill is a former Donnelly resident.

I had a phone call asking who got elected to office in Donnelly in Nov., re-elected as the mayor .wa Dae Ennen, Jacob Eystad, and Mike Schmidt to the council.

Correction: Lee Swanson of Benson passed away on Jan. 13th survivors include his great-nephew Craig (Amy Huebner) Swanson of Morris and their family. Amy is a former Donnelly resident.

Donnelly rod & gun club's annual ice fishing contest is tentatively scheduled for Jan 16th, starting at 10 a.m. on Perkins Lake north of Morris. Death notices: Leroy (Butch) Brandt of Morris passed away on Dec. 24th. He & his family used to come up to Donnelly & pitch horseshoe at the Bee for many years.

Madison Grace Morrison of Sioux Falls s.d. PASSED away on Dec. 23^rd.  She was preceded in death by her great-great-grandmother former Donnelly area resident Millie LeSage.

Courtney Lehman was named honorable mention on the KMRS/KKOK/SCT all-area team
