god is too busy

If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!

A United States Marine was taking some college courses

between assignments. He had completed 20 missions in Iraq

and Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who

was an avowed atheist, and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in.
He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "GOD, if you are real, then
I want you to knock me off this platform... I'll give you exactly 15 min."
The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes
went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting."

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got
out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him;
knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.

The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.
The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there
looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to,
noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked,
"What in the world is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The Marine calmly replied,
"GOD was too busy today protecting America's
soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid
stuff and act like an idiot. So He sent me."

The classroom erupted in cheers!
THIS IS GOOD, KEEP IT GOING!

phones in church

Phones In Church

A man in Topeka , Kansas decided to write a book about churches around
the country. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working
east from there.

Going to a very large church, he began taking photographs and making
notes.

He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued
with a sign, which read "Calls: $10,000 a minute.."

Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign. The
pastor answered that this golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to
heaven and if he pays the price he can talk directly to GOD.

The man thanked the pastor and continued on his way. As he continued to
visit churches in Seattle , Phoenix , Salt Lake City , Denver ,
Oklahoma City, and around the United States , he found more phones,
with the same sign, and the same answer from each pastor.

Finally, he arrived in Minnesota , upon entering a church in Maple Lake , Minnesota

behold - he saw the usual golden telephone. But THIS time, the sign
read "Calls: 35 cents."

Fascinated, he asked to talk to the pastor, "Reverend, I have been in
cities & towns all across the country and in each church I have found this
golden telephone and have been told it is a direct line to Heaven and
that I could talk to GOD, but in the other churches the cost was
$10,000 a minute. Your sign reads only 35 cents a call.

Why?"

I love this part...

The pastor, smiling benignly, replied, "Son, you're in Minnesota now ...
You're in God's Country, It's a local call."

safest place

1. Avoid riding in automobiles
Because they are responsible for
20% of all fatal accidents.

2. Do not stay home because
17% of all accidents occur in the home.

3. Avoid walking on streets or sidewalks
Because 14% of all accidents
Occur to pedestrians.

4.. Avoid traveling by air, rail, or water
Because 16% of all accidents involve
These forms of transportation.

5. Of the remaining 33%,
32% of all deaths occur in Hospitals.
So, above all else, avoid hospitals.

But. . ..

You will be pleased to learn that only .001%
Of all deaths occur in worship services in church,
And these are usually related to previous physical
Disorders. Therefore, logic tells us that the safest
Place for you to be at any given point in time is at
Church!

And . . . Bible study is safe too!

The percentage of deaths
During Bible study is even less.

So,
Attend church,
And read your Bible
IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE!

Congressional Reform Act of 2010

1. Term Limits.

12 years only, one of the possible options below..

A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms

2. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

If you agree with the above, pass it on. If not, just delete

oil drilling

Begin forwarded message:

Drilling

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does this fit the "shovel ready project " status ???

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You'll just love this!!!

Glenn Lee Beck
This is a perfect example why many refrain from watching the news on ABC, NBC, CBS, or MSNBC.

Today on a segment of the "Glenn Beck Show" on FOX (Fox Cable News) was the following:

Today, even though President Obama is against offshore drilling for our country, he signed an executive order to loan 2 Billion of our taxpayer dollars (which we can't afford to loan since we're broke) to a Brazilian Oil Exploration Company
(the 8th largest company in the entire world) to drill for oil off the coast of Brazil! The oil that comes from this operation is for the sole purpose and use of China and NOT THE USA !

Now here's the real clincher...the Chinese government is under contract to purchase all the oil that this oil field will produce, which is hundreds of millions of barrels"..

We have absolutely no gain from this transaction whatsoever!

Wait, it gets more interesting.

Guess who is the largest individual stockholder of this Brazilian Oil Company and who would benefit most from this? It is American BILLIONAIRE, George Soros, who was President Obama's most
generous financial supporter during his campaign. If you are able to connect the dots and follow the money, you are probably as upset as I am. Not a word of this transaction was broadcast on any of the other news networks! Are they doing their job? Think about it.

Forward this factual e-mail to others who care about this country and where it is headed. Also, let all your Government representatives know how you feel about this.

Below is the Wall street Journal article to confirm this.
