Weather news: As I was writing my column last week, a major winter storm was predicated for the weekend in the area, however we only got a few inches of snow and some blowing and drifting on Saturday although we did get some very cold temps. Special thanks go out to them for helping serve the dinner, the community club officers and families for preparing the dinner and to Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule at the North Pole to come and visit with the kids. His also stopped in Hoffman and since his reindeer were tired after that long trip he left them there to rest for the long trip home so the dfd gave him a ride into town in the fire truck.
