Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news.
Before you plan to attend any meeting or scheduled event in
the Donnelly area, please check with somebody to make sure the meeting /event
is actually going on as scheduled.
Weather News after some welcome rains last week, it has been
hot and dry since.
Church news, some churches in the area are beginning to open
up. GSLC -Morris has limited services inside Sundays at 9 a.m. and Wednesday at
7 p.m. at the church. The rest of the summer service schedule is TBA.
At 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, there is outdoor worship at Faith-
Morris and on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at first -Morris.
Please check with your local church for what their plans
are. A reminder that you will find virtual services, devotions, etc. on fb,
YouTube, local access channels, church websites and the radio for many area
churches
ST. John' s/Kongsvinger news: tentative schedule subject to
change: JULY 19TH "Drive-In for Christ" Service of Holy Communion at
9:30 a.m. in Kongsvinger parking lot July 26th service of word and song at ST.
John's no drive-in service.
A complete schedule for the rest of the summer is in the
July newsletter. No other activities will take place in either church until
further notice.
Rev. Rochelle Anderson of Morris will be providing pastoral
care until further notice, if you need care, contact the parish office. You can
also watch our "virtue" services on Facebook and YouTube.
The parish office is closed due to the COVID 19 outbreak,
call 246-3211, or e-mail (stjKongsvinger@runestone.net) or send mail (box 97) when
assistance is needed.
No physical block party this yr. We are having a virtual one
instead and raising money for the Stevens county food shelf to be added to by
grants from the Donnelly co-op and land o lakes foundation, deadline July 31st.
The West Central Word Alone group will have a reunion for
former pastor leaders and members on Wednesday, July 29th from l: 00 to 3:00 or
later at the Starbuck Lakeshore Park shelter.
In the event of inclement weather, it will be held the
following day at the same time and place.

Former Donnelly resident Dorothy (Hilla) Eisel of Wasilla AK
passed away on June 19th
Former Donnelly area resident Duane Solive of Cyrus passed
away on May 26th.
Former Donnelly area resident Jean "Maggie" Ersted
of Alex passed away on June 22nd
The Rendsville 4-h club is looking for volunteers to
weed/maintain/water the rain garden in Donnelly by the fire hall as they are
unable to do it themselves due to COVID 19. Thanks to the members, advisors,
and parents for all the hard work they have put into making Donnelly look
beautiful this year
Doris Sperr of Herman passed away on July 5th. Her late
husband Irving was a former Donnelly area resident.
RUSC Kinship Golf FORE MENTORING August 11th starting at
4:30 p.m. at Pomme De golf club. Their annual quarter craze has been
rescheduled for Sept. 19th at the legion

There will be a bridal shower for Lacee Maanum (Bride-to-Be
of Riley Biesterfeld) on Saturday, July 11th from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Good
Shepherd Lutheran Church. If you are

56267. The couple has registered at Target and Amazon. His parents are Walt and
Kathi former Donnelly residents
Beckham Steve Backman was born on May 20th to Wade and
Fallon Backman of Hancock. Grandparents include: Steve and Cathy Backman of
Morris great grandparents include Liz Aschman of Morris formerly of Donnelly
and Shirley Libbon of Chokio/Donnelly area.
Congrats to the Donnelly kids who made the 4th q honor roll
at MAHS too numerous to list here see the list in paper
There will be an OPEN HOUSE bridal shower for Kayla Volker
bride to be of Jed Lyle July 18th ten a.m.-noon eastside park Morris mn. Her
parents are Kevin and the Late Nancy Volker of Herman formerly of Donnelly.

canceled see you 2021
Past week visit with chuck Spohr at his home in Morris,
fireworks in Chokio and Hancock, a visit with Helen Petersen at the Barrett
home LL game wells park.
