Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news. I'm starting my 13th year of doing this, this month Tusen takk to all my loyal readers out there who have made it such a success. I am often told by people how much they enjoy my column.
Since everything from community events to church services has either been postponed or canceled due to the Coronavirus. I have decided not to list any events for the foreseeable future .please double check on the status of any events I have listed in my past columns.
GSLC news we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of becoming a church this month this month
Weather News temps have been more spring-like the past week but still cool , I have not been out of town to see if any fieldwork in going on but doubtful
 No services and events at St. John's and Kongsvinger, Donnelly; Gslc, Morris or any other church in the area until further notice. Some churches, pastors in the area are posting devotions, "services," etc. on places like Facebook, YouTube, etc.

May 2nd is the new date for all Republican Congressional district meetings. It is undecided at this time if they will be physically held or done remotely. More info contact your local BPOU chair.

This week I am going to write some more about the bee and events. Please note that planning for this year's bee is in its very preliminary stages, and the info below is based on what has gone in previous years. Fri eve hamburger feed by wca. Sat starts with a pancake breakfast followed by an sb tournament and a tracotorcade beginning and ending at the trap shoot in the north end of town. Also a 5k run, registration for the tr. pull kiddie parade, cornhole tournament, big and kiddie tr. pulls, music on the grounds (usually Pure Country) queen coronation followed by more music. Sun a.m. starts with an open-air church service followed by tr. games classic car show, the big parade that goes through downtown, followed by the horse/pony pull winding up with the raffle drawings. Horseshoe tournaments both days, threshing, wood sawing and other demonstrations lots of displays in schoolhouse depot, etc.
Donnelly area churches serve food every day. Everyone loves the Sunday dinner at the Kongsvinger food stand consisting of scalloped potatoes. Anyone is welcome to come and play, sing, do a demo, bring a display, etc.  Donnellythreshingbee.com is the website. Hopefully, the virus scare will be over by then, and things will be back to normal, the dates for this year's show are August 28th-30th, feature Is Ford and Massy Ferguson.
