donnelly news


Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news
Weather news: after enjoying several weeks of warm, dry weather it rained Saturday eve, some places in the area got over 2 inches of rain, so some farmers that have unplanted fields may not get them planted this year
There will be joint services at 9:30 a.m. on 1st, 3rd, 5th Sundays of the month at Kongsvinger, 2nd, 4th Sunday at ST. John's followed by a coffee hour at both churches. Communion service 1st and 4th Sundays
Community vacation bible school co-sponsored by Zion and Gslc will take place on June 24th-27th, 1-4 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran church more info 585-6868
All –state Lutheran choir June 16th 7 p.m. 1st Lutheran Morris
The threshing bee royalty was in parades in Cyrus and Chokio on June 8th and on June 11th helped out the Rusc kinship garden Gala at Faith Morris

The Donnelly community club had its monthly meeting on June 10th after the annual ice cream social as we continue making plans for the bee. As of now, we plan on having most of the favorite events back again.
Eldred Jackson of Starbuck passed away on June 4th; survivors include his wife former Donnelly area resident Corrine (Devick)
Linda Claassen, of Morris, passed away on June 6th survivors include her sister -in -law Kelly (Tom) Clausen of Chokio. Kelly is a former Donnelly area resident.
