Welcome to graduation edition of the Donnelly news pt. 2

Weather news for the first time this spring we have had over a week of sunny, mild, dry weather, so farmers are very busy in the fields getting their crops in, some are already up.

 ST. John's/ Kongsvinger news: joint services at 9:30 a.m. on 1st, 3rd, 5th Sundays of the month at Kongsvinger, 2nd, 4th Sunday at ST. John's followed by a coffee hour at both churches. Communion service 1st and 4th Sundays

GSLC news: Summer services continue every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Nate Hanson from Nelson will be the guest speaker

All –state Lutheran choir June 16th 7 p.m. 1st Lutheran Morris

Blast for Kids –Hosanna worship center –Morris June 7-9th-6 p.m.

On June 10th the Donnelly fire department meets at 7 p.m. at the fire hall and the Donnelly community club meeting is at 8:30 p.m. at the community hall

Rendsville 4-h meets on June 9th at 3 p.m. at Kongsvinger to bake pies followed by a potluck supper. Note change of day/time and meeting place

RUSC Kinship annual garden gala will be held at Pomme De Terre Park, Morris on June 11th from 5-7:30 p.m.

HD and CO in Donnelly has closed its doors, so if you have news for me, leave it in the "mailbox" at the PO

An open house bridal shower for Samantha Henrichs, bride to be of Mason Deal, will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Morris Senior Center. The couple has registered at B Inspired, Menards, Target and Sag's Hardware in Wheaton.

Former Donnelly area resident Diane Moerke of Minnetonka passed away on May 31st

Mayyva Johnson of Herman passed away on May 31st survivors include her stepdaughter former Donnelly area resident Kelly (Tom) Clausen of Chokio

Visitation for former Donnelly area resident Marge Sherstad will be from 10-11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m., today (Saturday) at Restoration Church in Glenwood. Interment will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris. She passed away on Dec.6 2018

"Stamp out hunger" raised $100 and collected 225 lbs. of food in Donnelly
