Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news.

Weather news: temps have not been too bad in the last week, but we have had some cold winds to go with them, forecast says a blizzard for the weekend, however, Wednesday was the mildest day we have had in some time with a high about 50 melting some snow & ice

St. John’s/ Kongsvinger news:  Lenten services continue every week until March 21st at 7 p.m. with lunch afterward and alternating between churches, February 21st at Kongsvinger at 7 p.m. and February 28th at St John’s. A complete schedule can be found in the February newsletter
Gslc news:  Lenten services continue at the church at 7 p.m. until March 21st    

Other church news Burgers, beverages, and blessings will be on hiatus until after Easter

Widows and widowers are invited to Sunday lunches at noon in the basement at Old #1, Morris on the following Sundays:, March 11, April 8, May 6, June 10, July 8, August 5, September 9, October 14, November 11, December 9. All widows/widowers are invited for lunch on their own and fellowship! Questions, call Rose Murphy, Grief Care Coordinator, Pedersen Funeral Home. There is an elevator in front of the old # 1                    
Donnelly youth club meets on February 21st from 4-6 p.m. at St. John’s
Donnelly fire department meets on February 19th at 7 p.m. at the fire hall
Herman red hatters meet at Human Spring Buffet in Fergus Falls on Monday, March 5th at 11:00 a.m.  
Donnelly community club had their annual meeting on February 12th at the community hall. All directors up for reelection were reelected. Despite the rain last year, we had a good year financially, a reminder this year’s bee is August. 24-26th tri-feature is Oliver, Cockshutt, and Moline. The next meeting is March 12th at 7 pm at the community hall.

Millie Rae Kampmeier was born February 7, 2018, at Stevens Community Medical Center to Mac and Sydney Kampmeier of Chokio, MN. Millie weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz. and was 21 1/2 in. long. Grandparents are Joel and Jamie Beyer of Morris, MN and Tim Kampmeier of Chokio, MN. Great-grandparents are Carol and the late Sid Wilcox of Morris, MN and Ralph Kampmeier of Chokio, MN.
Death notices:  Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Ritter of Graceville passed away on February 12th survivors include her granddaughter Tana (Andy) Erickson of Morris Andy is a former Donnelly area resident

Past week a visit to my aunt Pearl in her apt in Morris, Tony Lesmeister visitation at the funeral home, a visit to Irene Stand and Geesien Kill at heritage apartments, adult Ed, Bible study and Ash wed services at Gs (w/Eystads) a visit to the WWV (villa)
