Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news

Weather news well after a week of sunny warm weather it has turned cold and rainy again.  See a few crops up in the area, a friend told me that on the family farm they were done planting.

St John’s/Kongsvinger news: Youth club at St. John’s from 4-6 p.m. on May 18^th

There will be a brunch at Kongsvinger on May 22^nd at 10 a.m. to honor the grads followed by joint Baccalaureate services at Kongsvinger at 11 a.m.

The May newsletter is out which includes the summer worship schedule starting on May 29th

Good shepherd Lutheran church news: John kirkoff from Glenwood will give presentation on international health services during adult Ed about 10:30 a.m. on May 15^th.

Community news: The Bookmobile will be in town on Main Street in Donnelly on May 23^rd from 3:45-4 p.m.

The Donnelly fire dept. will meet on May 16th at 7 p.m. at the fire hall

Death Notice john Jack gausman of Princeton mn passed away on May 7^th. He was proceed in death by his wife former Donnelly area resident Virginia Mich

Former  Donnelly area resident  Darline June Harriet wente passed away on May 10^th survivors include her niece Diane (wally)kill of Morris  and nephew dick (Linda) wente of Donnelly

Mark Steven Hyatt of Alex passed away on May 4^th survivors include his grandmother Evelyn(dale) Graff of Alex, dale is a former Donnelly area resident

Joan Larson of Barrett passed away on May 10^th her husband Ellard is my 2^nd cousin

There are some rummage sales and an auction sale(Altrich estate) in Donnelly today (sat.) and another auction sale sw of Donnelly on May 21st (nelson estate)

Celebrations: The tiger boys and girls track team finished 2^nd in the Benson meet:

100M– (8) Islande Sperr finished 8^th in the 100 m and was also a member of the 4 x 100 m relay team that won first place

3200M – (1) Savannah Aanerud

Levin Strand was a member of the 4x100 m relay team that placed first and the 4 x 200 team that finished 2nd

In pelican rapids meet the girls took 2nd and boys 7th

3200M – (6) Savannah Aanerud 13:23.37

Islande Speer was a member of the 4x100 that finished 3^rd

Sisseton meet: girls’ first boys 6th

4x100 and 4x200 m relay 5^th Levin strand was a member of that team and also a member 1600 sprint that finished 2nd 200 m Dakota lupke finished 35th; girls Savanah Aanerud was a member of the 4 x 800 m relay team that finished first she also finished 2^nd in the 800 m relay Islande speer finished 19^th in the 100 m dash 17^th in the 200 m

Hawley meet girls 2^nd boys 4^th 200 m Islande Sperr 10th she was also a member of the 4x100 m relay team that finished 2nd 400 m Savanah Aanerud 6^th boys 600 m Dakota lupke 16^th Levin strand was a member of the 4x200 m relay team that finished first

Little Croix meet boys (17^th) 200 m Dakota lupke 37^th he and Landon strand were member of the 4 x200 m relay team that finished 6^th Landon was also a member of the 4 x100 that also finished 6^th girls (6^th) 100 m Islande Sperr 26^th 200 m 28^th was a member of the 4x 100 relay team finished 4^th 3200 m Savanah Aanerud 3^rd she was also a member of 4x800 m relay team that finished 5^th

True team meet girls 4th Islande Speer 100 m 11^th she was also a member of 4x1200 relay team that finished 3^rd Savanah Aanerud 1600 m 10^th 3200 m 3rd boys (5^th) Dalton   lupke 200 m 15^th

Chandler Erickson recently recorded his 100^th hit as a member of the cougar bb team

Donnelly community club had its monthly meeting on May 9^th as we continue to make plans for the bee and other events later this year. Next meeting is in June 13^th

Rebekah Aanerud was awarded the Marion j piper scholarship by the North Dakota professional communications she is a sophomore at ndsu

Phil Kloos won the 13^th annual 9 pin no tap tournament at crystal lanes recently
