Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news:

 Weather news: the weekend has brought some of coldest weather of the winter with bitterly cold temps on tap for next week.
St John’s/Kongsvinger news: The Annual meetings will be held at Kongsvinger Jan 17th and St. John’s Jan 24th both following services followed by a pot luck dinner. Service times will change on the 17th with St. John’s at 8:30 a.m. and Kongsvinger at 11 a.m.

Good shepherd news. No Tue a.m. Bible study until further notice

Other church news: “Come Tour the Holy Land” Sundays, January 24 and 31 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.; in the church’s Theatre Room at first Lutheran Morris. Come and join us for a video journey of Pastor Dave’s travels to the “Land Where Jesus Walked”

Join Pr. Dell and Carolyn on Sunday, January 17th at Faith Morris between services for a screening of Islam 101 reviews the fundamental principles, beliefs, and practical aspects of Islam

Habit for humanity fundraising pancake breakfast Jan 17th 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the legion in Morris free will donation

The movie “the drop box” will be shown at Zion Lutheran-Morris today (sat.> at 2 p.m. free will offering to help options for women purchase a stork bus. More info call the church or the pregnancy center

Community news: The Bookmobile will be in town on Main Street in Donnelly on Jan 18th from 3:45-4 p.m.

The Donnelly fire dept. will meet on Jan. 18th at 7 p.m.
No mail service on Jan 20th.

“Raising up Stevens County” Kinship Mentoring will have an open house from 5- 7p.m. on Jan. 19th at St. John’s church-Donnelly; Jan 20th at the Hancock school ;and Jan 21st at the Morris library ;with Chokio-Alberta TBA.

Memorial services for Patricia Demo of Barrett will be held on Jan 23rd at 1  p.m. at old # 1 Southside, survivors include her daughter Lori (Weinreis >riley of Graceville

Celebrations: Jr. High wrestling: Canby tournament; Brady Cardwell, and Tristan Raths took first in their respective weight classes. JV rocori tournament Brady 4th and Tristan 5th in their weight classes

WCA      wrestling wca triangular Kenton Long went 2-0 at the staples motely quad he went 2-1 at that meet he recorded his 60th win



Tiger gymnastics’ Melrose meet: Savannah Aanerud 4th on beam 5th on the bars jv Callista Kill set a new personal best on the beam Katie Giese took third place honors in the beam event  Moorhead invite tigers took first in their division

 Savannah Aanerud earned first place on the vault, tied for third place on bars, tied for first place on beam, tied for second on the floor, and finished in second place in all-around competition. Vs. big stone area    Savannah Aanerud earned first place on Vault, second place on Bars, first place on Beam, first place on Floor, first place in All-Around competition Katie Giese earned fourth place on Vault

Brady Backman was a member of storm pee wee team that won their Fergus tournament Dec 5th & 6th

Tiger swimming: Hutchinson invite: JV action Levin strand took first in the 100 breast stroke and was part of the 200 medley team that took 4th
