Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news.
The good news about the weather is that it warmed up some in the last week .The bad news is that it also snowed a lot. We probably got as much snow in the last week as we did all winter. Many events were ppd over the weekend due to the weather and roads and most schools in the area were closed on Mon.

There are still many copies of the annual reports in the back of both churches. Please stop by your church and pick yours up. If you could deliver some to friends/or family members it would be greatly appreciated.
Brochures for the summer camping season at Luther Crest are now available in the narthex of both churches.
Two events that were ppd. on Nov 8th have been rescheduled. The Stevens County Republican Committee meeting will be held today (Sat) at 9 am at Detoy’s. Congratulations to Jake Long who recently won his weight class at the heart of lakes wrestling tournament.
Congratulations to Dylan Recker (Roger, Deann) who was one of the students selected to have his art work displayed at the Common cup Coffee house in Morris.

Congratulations to Landon and Paige Stand who earned super star ribbons at the H_N speech meet at Graceville on Jan 26th

Betty Thorstad of Morris passed away on Feb 6th. A sister Joan (Paul) Bruns of Donnelly is among the family members that survive her.
Since the WCAWA mtg on Feb 6th was canceled I traveled to Morris instead and stopped in for a visit with Wally McCollar. He informs me that plans are well under way for their 55th class reunion in July and a “mini” reunion of the Donnelly classmates at sax’s café and possibly a tour of the old school included in it. We visited with Sonya Sather on the phone about it. I also stopped in on the 10th and he told me that he has been busy collecting names and address. He already has some tentative commitments from several of the Donnelly students. He is also looking for pictures of the classmates through the years if you have any you can drop them off at his shop

Several of us from the area attended the LU mtg at the museum in Morris on Feb 10th. Afterwards I took time to look at the “give a hoot” exhibit that features some memorabilia from Donnelly merchants. It is a very nice and interesting exhibit so if you have not already done so I would encourage you to stop in and take a look at it.

Jim and Lou Eystad recently visited her aunt Marlys Alm and Lavone Day at the WWV in Morris
