This kept him very busy guarding the farm during the day from strangers not welcome and at night barking at Coyotes to keep them away from the other farm animals. Gus enjoyed afternoon naps in the sun against the garage door, going for rides in the pickup and digging holes in the front lawn. He was very proud of is accomplishments of learning how to Sit, Play fetch and how to jump onto the Cottonwood Yacht Club Pontoon.
Gus died in the evening at his home on Friday November 6th, 2009 after a tragic Corn Hauling Accident. He reached the Age of 1 year 7 months (11 in dog years).
