Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news.
Weather news: well it appears our nice fall is coming to a
close the past several days have been windy and cold, we had some rain on Saturday
and as I am writing this they predicting some snow this week. Farmers are busy picking
corn and doing fall fieldwork
St. John’s/ Kongsvinger news: Confirmation services will be
held during joint services on October 29th at 10 a.m. at Kongsvinger, no S.S. and
reception by Thrivent chapter afterwards
Gslc news: Fall VBS is on Wednesday afternoons from 3:45-5
p.m., though November 1st
A 3 part adult Ed on Martin Luther continues through October
after coffee fellowship
A celebration of 500th anniversary of the reformation will
be held on November 1st at the church starting with food and fellowship at 6
p.m. followed by a program at 7 p.m.
Other church news: Reformation Celebration on October 29th at 2:00 p.m. at first-Morris
Come and celebration the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation with
songs and readings that will illuminated and celebrate this historical event in
our Lutheran heritage.
There will be a Scandinavian heritage dinner at 1st- Morris
on November 1st from 3:30-7 p.m. and a Meatball supper at Faith-Morris on November
8th from 4:30- 7 p.m.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church Chokio, Fall Bazar is October 28
starting at 9 a.m. with a Bake Sale, Lunch Crafts, and Raffle.
Federated Church’s 4th Annual, Trunk or Treat, a Safe
alternative to Halloween, will be held on October 31st from 5-7 p.m.
Burgers Beverages and Blessings has ended for the year, it
will resume early next year
Community news: On November 13 the bookmobile will be in
town on Main St. from 3:30-3:45 p.m.
The Stevens county genealogical society meeting is November 2nd
at 1:30 p.m. at the library in Morris
Events today (Saturday): The annual Donnelly community
Halloween party will be held starting at 1 p.m. at the community hall, The city
council will meet at 4 p.m. at the Donnelly city hall ,and there will be
benefit for Richard Johnson of Donnelly at the old # 1 Southside from 4:30-7:30
p.m., he was injured in a atv accident last summer.
There will be an open house baby shower for parents to be Brain
and Laura Ennen on November 4th at the Pomme de Terre golf club house (South HY.
9) Morris from 9-11 a.m.
Rendsville 4-h meets at 7 p.m. on November 6th at St. John's
“Two little eyes, one little nose, ten little fingers, ten
little toes...Boy or Girl? Nobody knows!” Please join us for an open house Baby
Shower for Baby Kampmeier, child of Mac and Sydney (Beyer) Kampmeier on Sunday,
November 19 from 1:00-3:00 at the Morris Senior Center. Baby K is registered at
Target. Everyone is welcome.

fall in to health at MAES "Martin Luther” visit at Faith- Morris, Bible
study at Gs (w/Eystad’s) BBB at met lounge (last one of the yr.)
