Weather news after several weeks of fairly mild weather it
has turned cold again Mon brought some snow and strong winds causing difficult
driving conditions
St John’s/Kongsvinger news: Lenten services will again alternate between
Kongsvinger Feb 17th and St John’s Feb 24th at 7 p.m.
with coffee hr. to follow
On the third Wednesday of the month (February 17), Youth
Club will meet at St. John’s Church from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
Good shepherd news. Lenten continue ever Wed at 7 p.m. until
Holy week.
There will be a Valentine’s day breakfast after services on
Feb. 14th at the church, the youth will go tubing at Andes tower
hills on Feb. 28th at 1 p.m. Sign up at church or call the church at

Other church news: friends of the Morris life care pregnancy
center will have a fund raising night at the Pizza ranch on Feb 21st
from 5-8 p.m.
Mn all state Lutheran choir will be having additions
throughout the St. of mn starting on Feb 20th they will be at united
Lutheran in elbow lake mn Feb. 21st from 1-2 p.m. more info

Community news: The Bookmobile will be in town on Main
Street in Donnelly on Feb 29th from 3:45-4 p.m.
Next “Rising up Stevens County” kinship event will be the
quarter kraze today (sat.) at the legion in Morris from 10 a.m. 1 p.m. advance
tickets available at the Rusc office in Morris, more info call 585-7872
Donnelly fire dept. “bar bingo” will be held on Fri eves at
7 p.m. until further notice at “A Place to Be in Donnelly”
The Donnelly fire dept. will meet on Feb 15th at 7 p.m. in
the fire hall.
St county historical society will have their annual meeting
on Feb 14th at the museum starting with dinner at noon followed by the meeting
at 1 p.m. and program at 1:30 p.m. rsvp at 589-1719
St Mary’s school dinner auction on Feb 20th at
old # 1 Southside at 5 p.m., advance tickets available at the school
There will be Bingo-bonco at Faith –Morris on Feb 21st at 11:45
a.m.
Former Donnelly area resident Ruth Strand will be
celebrating her 100th birthday on Mar. 5th at the sunrise
apartments in Morris from 2-5 p.m.
Death notices: former Donnelly area resident Monica Mitch
passed away on Feb 5th.
Sylvia Volker of Herman passed away on Feb.6th ;her
sister in law Lenora Volker of Herman passed away on Feb 11th.most
of the Volker’s that are living and/or have lived in the Donnelly area are
among the family members that survive the ladies
Celebrations: tiger gymnastics Wcc meet Savannah Aanerud all
conference all around 5th beam 7th floor 7th
Wahpeton triangular additional results Shannon Kill took
second on the vault and third on beam. Callista Kill performed stuck beam
routines; Julia Gocha scored 5.8 on the beam

assistant marshal, Jim Jasper co social director Judy Oldenburg co- secretary
Brooke Gillespie was named to the honor roll at Chokio
Alberta h.s. she is a junior there; she was also named rookie Auctioneer of the
year in Minn.; the youngest person ever to win this award, she also received a
cert of service from the school for her volunteer work.

Brady cardwell is a member of the tiger wrestling team that
finished 3rd in their own invitational on Feb. 5th,Keaton
Long is a member of the knights wrestling team that finished 2nd in

visited some of the residents there, services at the sunrise apts. with Pr Mike
Nelson afterwards visited my aunt Pearl to wish her a belated Birthday her
birthday was Jan 27th.
