Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news
Weather news: the past week has mostly sunny and mild; most farmers are done for the year.
St John’s/Kongsvinger news: Rev. Mike Nelson of Cokato has accepted the call to be the pastor of the parish, he will begin his full-time ministry with the parish on Nov 17th; his first Sunday will be Nov. 22nd.
Joint thanksgiving services at Kong. Nov. 25th at 7 pm followed by coffee fellowship afterwards; offering going to the Stevens county food shelf
The Kongsvinger fall festival will be held on Nov. 22nd starting at 11 a.m. In preparation for it a lefse making day will be held today (Sat.) starting at 9 a.m. at Kongsvinger
S.S. news: adopted grandparents’ day is Nov 15th at 9:45 a.m., on Nov 22nd S.S. will be at St John’s at 9:45 a.m.; no ss on Nov. 29th
Good shepherd news: the annual meeting will be held on Nov 22nd following services followed by brunch served by the youth
Thanksgiving services on Nov 25th at 7 p.m.
Other church news: There will be a Mission fest at Trinity Lutheran Cyrus on Nov 15th starting with services at 10:30 a.m. with special speakers Chris Butler and Jennifer Rothchild, followed by a breakfast buffet at 11:30 a.m. (free will donation) a silent auction from 9:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. ,live auction at 12:30 p.m.. All proceeds go to our local and Global Missions.
Nov 15th is vocation Sunday at Faith Lutheran
Chris Richards will be ordained today (Sat.) at First-Morris at 4 p.m.; on Nov 15th; he will be installed as pastor at Trinity Lutheran –Cyrus at the 10:30 a.m. service.
Rev Dave Christianson will be installed as pastor at First Lutheran on Nov 22nd during both services
Heart’s desire conference: at Hosanna Lutheran church Morris Nov. 17th at 7 pm with Pam Henkelman as guest speaker
Men of life conference at Hosanna Lutheran church Morris Nov 18th at 7 pm with Ryan Loge and Dennis Yanez as guest speakers
Community news: The fire dept. will meet Nov. 16th in Donnelly at 7 p.m. at the fire hall, no more community club meetings until next year
The Bookmobile will be in town on main St. on Nov 23rd from 3:45-4 p.m. (note new time)
Dfd turkey bingo Nov 20th starting at 7 pm at the community hall
There will be an Open house for the new nurse practitioner at the Essentia clinic in Chokio former Donnelly area resident Brenna (Ascheman) Paulson on Nov 16th from 9 am- 4:30 pm. Her parents are Larry and Peggy (Erickson) Ascheman 
Thanks to the threshing bee royalty and their families for all the hard work they put into making the annual Halloween party in Donnelly a success
Death notices Laura Schwendemann of Starbuck passed away on Oct 26th survivors include her great uncle Andy Brevig of Herman/Donnelly
June Andrew of Webster city, Iowa passed on Nov. 8th; local survivors include her mother former Donnelly resident Marlys Alm and her cousin Lou (Jim) Eystad of Donnelly
Celebrations: cc state meet; Tiger girls: (14th); Savannah Aanerud (32nd) and Beth Holland (112th)
Tiger VB team is the Dist. 3 AA champs (Brooke Gillisepe is a member of that team, her mother Judy is one of the coaches)
College cc NCAA div II central region tournament Msu-Moorhead women finished 11th; MaKenzie Smith is a member of that team, she finished 17th she was also named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II All-Central Region team ,following the regional meet in Joplin.
Ace and Lois Sperr, along with Lowell and Jan Searle; are happy to announce the engagement of their children; Marilyn Sperr and Josh Searle; a Jan.16th wedding is planed    
Britta Ann Koehntop was born on Nov. 4, at Douglas County Hospital to Kyle and Mandi Koehntop of Morris. Grandparents are Roger and Bonnie Koehntop of Morris and Parker and Renee Kloos of Donnelly. Great Grandparents are Gerald and Kay Laager, Herb and Carol Kloos, and Wilfred and Doris Arens.               

 Past week: lutefisk supper first-Morris, st co gen soc. mtg, Grant co fair board mtg –Herman, meatball supper Faith.
