The weather during the past week has been cloudy, cool, and wet. In addition to raining some every day it has been very cool and heat feels good. The forecast calls for some sunshine in the next few days but also the possibility of a hard freeze. Some farmers were able to get a few bean fields picked before the rain but everything has pretty much been at a standstill in the last week as it is very wet around here.

It turns out his grandfather had been postmaster in Donnelly for a number of years preceding Fred Gerber.
