Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news

Weather news some chilly weather; is a reminder that fall and winter are right around the corner. Bean harvest is warping up, and some farmers are harvesting corn.

 

ST. John's/Kongsvinger news: The Oct schedule is the same as it has been for several months with drive-in communion services at Kong on the first Sunday of the month and the 4th Sunday at St John's. Other Sundays will be a service of the word. No other activities will take place in either church until further notice.

 

Rev. Rochelle Anderson of Morris will be providing pastoral care until further notice; if you need care, contact the parish office or one of the church presidents. You can also watch our "virtue" services on Facebook and YouTube.

 

The parish office is closed due to the COVID 19 outbreak; call 246-3211, or e-mail (stjKongsvinger@runestone.net) or send mail (box 97) when assistance is needed.

 

 

Other Church news, Faith-Morris now has outdoor worship Sun at 9 a.m. they will move indoors if the the temp is below 50 deg. first-Morris is at 9:30 a.m.  In November First will have indoor services

Fusion youth has restarted.  Cyrus, Donnelly, Faith, First & Federated churches in Morris are the churches sponsoring this ministry. Contact any of the churches for more info.

 

The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church schedule wed eve & outdoor drive-in services have ended. in their place, there will be two services on Sun a.m. the first at 9 a.m. in the dining hall will be informal with no singing, and the 2nd one will be a regular one at 10:15 in the sanctuary.  more info, call the church at 585-6868

Please check with your local church for what their plans are. A reminder that you will find virtual services, devotions, etc. on fb, YouTube, local access channels, church websites, and the radio; for many of the area churches,

there will be No lutefisk dinner at first this year. Instead, a ham take -out dinner will replace it on Nov 6th from 4:30–7 p.m.

Ella Louise Holland, Daughter of Tom & Alyssa Holland, was baptized on  Sept 13th at Faith.

Gatherings for Widows and Widowers will meet for lunch at noon on Sunday, October 1th1, at the Old #1 Southside.

Sandy Dunn is having a pop-up sale at her place on Oct 10th rsvp, please 13427 county rd. 12 Herman.

For sale in Donnelly: wooden desks by the community club; contact an officer for more details. And a fire truck by the DFD.

Dfd meets on Oct 12 & 19th at 7 p.m. at the fire hall in Donnelly.

Eugene Stoneberg of Starbuck passed away recently; survivors include his son Jason of Donnelly.
