Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news
Weather news: well old man winter refuses to go away, although we did not get the predicted storm over the weekend, we have gotten several inches of snow but most of it is rapidly melting this week. However, they are predicting more snow for the weekend
St. John's/ Kongsvinger news: On April 8th there will be the installation of council members at both churches during services
St John's spring fling is April 14 at the church from 10:30 A.M. – 1 P.M. bake/white elephant/card sale and lunch served
Bridges of Hope, a support group for those grieving the loss of a loved one is being held Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m., and Tuesdays at 10: 00 a.m., call the funeral home for information  
Widows and widowers meet on April 8th for lunch in the basement of the old #1 there is an elev. in the front of the bldg.
Dakota Road in concert on April 7th at 6:30 p.m. at faith-Morris, CROP walk on April 8th starting with registration at about 12:30 p.m. at the Federated Church
There is an Easter egg hunt at the Hosanna Worship Center –Morris today (Saturday) at 11 a.m.

Donnelly Community Club, Inc. is giving away a 50th Anniversary Donnelly Threshing Bee Hoodie on April 1, 2018. And that's no fooling! Anyone who signs up and pays for a membership by April 1 will have their name entered in the drawing for the hoodie. Memberships are $10 per person and payment needs to be paid to the DCCI Treasurer by Aprilia 1 to qualify for the drawing. Joining the Donnelly Community Club is a GREAT way to show support for your community. Kurt Kruize memorial scholarship dinner will be held on Aprilia 7th starting at 3 p.m. at the Hancock community center. His grandfather is from Donnelly

On April 9th from 3:30-3:34 P.M. the bookmobile will be in town on main st, and at 7 P.M. the Community club and the firemen will meet at the community and fire halls

We are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of Laura Johnson and Tyler Roske. Parents of the bride are Amanda and Chris Graham, Ellabell, GA and Paul Johnson, Morris. Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news
Weather news: As I am writing this on Tue. morning, it is the first day of spring, but it looks more like the first day of winter outside with several inches of snow on the ground, and they are also talking more snow for this weekend.
St. John's/ Kongsvinger news:  Joint services at St John’s on March 25 at 11 a.m., Sunday school will meet at St John’s that day at 9:45 a.m., and be singing at services that day

March 25th, 1-4 P.m. at Faith Lutheran Morris (Casey Lesmeister) There will be a silent auction and bake sale on Sunday, March 25 at Faith Lutheran Church during the “Be the Match” drive, with the proceeds going to the Lesmeister family. If you are willing to donate some baked goods or silent auction items that would wonderful! Silent auction items can be dropped off at the church during their business hours M-F and baked goods can be dropped off Sunday A.M. before their 8:45 a.m. service. Please have baked goods packaged for sale.

Lola Michaelson was born February 26, 2018, to Jeremy Michaelson and Hannah McNally of Morris, MN. Lola weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. and was 18.75 in. long. Grandparents are Joan and the late Gary Michaelson of Morris, MN, Audrey and the late Steven Larson of Donnelly, MN, and Tom McNally of Crawfordsville, IN. the great-grandparents, are Don and Algene Larson Donnelly, great- great, grandmother is Bertha Larson of Morris

Weather news thankfully the blizzard predicted for Sunday failed to arrive, temperatures have been fairly mild this week, enabling some snow and ice to melt. Of course, we still got a few more weeks of bb tournaments to come

St. John's/ Kongsvinger news:  Lenten services conclude with services on March 21st at Kongsvinger at 7 p.m. with lunch afterward, see the March newsletter for a list of Holy week services
Defibrillator training will take place on March 18th at Kongsvinger about 9:30 a.m. following services
Contact the church office for info about ordering Easter Lilly's for either church


Gslc news:  Lenten services at the church conclude at 7 p.m. on March 21st, there is a sign- up sheet at the church for Easter lilies

Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news, this issue is dedicated to the memory of my mom who passed away March 14th, 1994

Weather news well after hibernating most of the year old man winter decided to wake up and make up for lost time, Monday brought another storm with about 10 inches of snow meaning snow removal equipment has been kept very busy the past few weeks. It appears he is not done yet as another storm is predicted for the weekend, thankfully temps have been fairly moderate.

St. John’s/ Kongsvinger news:  Lenten services continue every week until March 21st at 7 p.m. with lunch afterward and alternating between churches, March 14th at St John’s  March 21st Kong. A complete schedule can be found in the February newsletter

Death notice: Robert “Danny” Kloos of the Herman/Donnelly area passed away on March 4th. Many of you will remember him as the bass singer of the Kongsvinger quartet for about 50 years.

Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news.
Weather news:  well we got a lot of snow last week enough to keep the snow removal equipment busy all weekend and into this week, thankfully warmer weather has melted some of it
St. John’s/ Kongsvinger news:  Lenten services continue every week until March 21st at 7 p.m. with lunch afterward and alternating between churches, March 7th at Kongsvinger and March 14th at St John’s. A complete schedule can be found in the February newsletter
Gslc news:  Bridal shower for Janessa Maier bride to be of Tyler Solive at 10 a.m. today (Saturday) at the church. She is the granddaughter of Myron Bruer
Lenten services continue at the church at 7 p.m. until March 21st  
There will be a Kingdom ball at the Morris Evangelical Free church today (Saturday) 6-8 p.m. at the church
