June 30th July 7th
Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news.
In the next few weeks, there will be a number of organizations with scheduled meetings (i.e., fire dept., rendsville 4-h, city council, community club, etc. Due to the COVID 19, I have no idea if any meetings or events will even be held as scheduled so please check before planning on attending anything.

Weather News some rain last week was very welcome, but it is still dry around here. Crops look good so far suspect most of the corn will be knee-high or even waist high in a few places by the 4th
Church news, some churches in the area are beginning to open up. GSLC -Morris has limited services inside Sundays at 9 a.m. and Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the church. On Sundays until July 12th at 10:15 a.m., there will be a worship service outdoors; after that, they will switch to Wed. a.m. All three services will be the same. At 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, there is outdoor worship at Faith- Morris.
Please check with your local church for what their plans are. A reminder that you will find virtual services, devotions, etc. on fb, YouTube, local access channels church websites and the radio for many area churches
ST. John's/Kongsvinger news: Rev Rochelle Anderson of Morris will be providing pastoral care until further notice, if you need care, contact the parish office. You can also watch our "virtue" services on Facebook and youtube.
The parish office is closed due to the COVID 19 outbreak, call 246-3211, or e-mail (stjKong@runestone.net) or send mail (box 97) if you need assistance.
There will be no 4th of July celebration at Kongsvinger this year.
The physical area VBS led by Luther crest scheduled for this summer at Faith has been canceled and will be replaced by an e-edition later this summer. 
There will be a west-central word alone reunion at the Starbuck park in late July stay tuned for more info.
No decision has been made about the fate of this year's threshing bee yet, if you wish to express your opinion on it, please contact one of the officers.
Due to COVID 19, many of the parades and community festivals our threshing bee royalty regularly attend during the summer have been canceled or scaled back.
I have brought my news box back to McCollar's Jewelry, and I will hopefully be coming up to Donnelly more frequently to check my box in the PO.
The Rendsville 4-h club is looking for volunteers to weed/maintain/water the rain garden in Donnelly by the fire hall as they are unable to do it themselves due to COVID 19. Thanks to the members, advisors, and parents for all the hard work they have put into making Donnelly look beautiful this year.

June 23rd-30th
Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news. 
Since everything from community events, to church activities, have been postponed or canceled due to the Coronavirus, I have decided not to list any circumstances for the foreseeable future. Before you plan to attend any regularly scheduled events and/or meetings, i.e., rendsville 4-h, fire dept., city council, community club, etc. please check to make sure they are still on. Since everything is constantly changing, please listen to local media and /or check fb posts for any updated info. Some of the meetings may be held virtually instead of physically. Also, some Donnelly business may be temporally closed, have reduced hours, limited services, access, etc.
Weather News: It is getting very dry out we have not had a good rain for some time, but crops look good so far. Many farmers are busy spraying, putting up hay, etc. We finally got a good rain shower on July 18th

Weather News:  it has been very hot this week; fortunately, we escaped some of the storms that areas to the north i.e., otter tail county got on Tuesday a.m.
Church news, some churches in the area are beginning to open up. GSLC -Morris has limited services inside Sundays at 9 a.m. and Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the church. TLC-CYRUS will have a parking lot service June 21st details to be announced

There is a drive-by baby shower for Beth (Holland) and Chandler Erickson at 501 1st St. W. Chokio. The safety of the parents and newborn baby is of top concern with the uncertain times upon us and the social distancing guidelines, A car will be parked by their house, if you would like to drop off a gift or send them one. There is a registry for them at Target and Baby list
Open house graduation party for Ryanne Bisgard on June 20th from 1–5 p.m. at her home 113 Pacific Ave Donnelly
Former Donnelly area resident Norma Wente of Morris passed away on June 7th survivors include her daughter Sandy (Les) Kopel of Donnelly and their family
Recent UMM grads Brady Jergenson will be teaching in Alex next yrs and Becca Holland at WCA-Barrett.
