Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news.
Weather news: slowly but surely most corn fields around here
are getting harvested, I talked to a friend from up in the Fargo Morehead area
Sunday, he said there are still some wheat fields up there that due to wet
conditions have yet to be harvested.
Donnelly church news: services will be at 9:30 a.m. on
December 8th at St John's, followed by a coffee fellowship.
The Sunday school program will be presented on December 15th
during worship at Kongsvinger at 10:30 a.m. (note change of time for that
Sunday only) and that afternoon at 5 p.m. at St. John's. No regular S.S. in
December
"Where's the beef dinner" raffle at St. John's is
going on now tickets may be purchased from any St. John's member or at the
parish office. The Drawing will be on December 8th during coffee hr.
There will again be a poinsettia garden at both churches
this year contact the parish office for more details
Mission fest at Trinity Cyrus December 8th starting with
services at 10:30 a.m. with special speaker Mark Jacobson followed by a taste
of Christmas and a live/silent auction
Gslc news: advent services on December 4, 11th, 18th at 7
p.m. at the church
Donnelly city council meets on December 7th at 4 p.m. in the
council chambers in Donnelly
Bookmobile in town on
Main St., December 18th from 2:45-3 p.m. note new time
Santa day in Donnelly at the community hall is December 14th
dinner at noon with Santa arriving about 1 p.m.
Dfd meets on December 9th and 16th at 7 p.m. at the fire
hall
Rendsville 4-h meets on December 2nd at 6:30 p.m. at St.
John's
Harrison Alexandra Smith was born on November 9th to Myles
Smith of Donnelly and Casandra Anderson of Morris. His parents are Mike and
Rhoda Smith of Donnelly.
Open house baby shower for Danny and Kate Ennen will be held
on December 14th from 10 a.m. until noon at the Kongsvinger parish hall
Stevens' county historical society annual; open house December
8th from 9 a.m.-11 a.m at the museum
Morris sr. Citizen's annual bazaar on December 7th at the
sr. center from 9a.m.- 1p.m.
Pedersen's funeral home a time to remember will be held on
December 8th at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Former Donnelly area resident Joe Mau of Isanti Mn passed
away on November 14th survivors include his cousin Lou Eystad of Donnelly
Former Donnelly area resident Geesien "Gay."
(Kruize) Kill of Morris passed away on Nov. 26th. survivors include her son
Howard (Deb) Kill of Donnelly and their family
