Welcome another edition of the Donnelly news.

Weather News: it has been very hot and dry the past week. Crops are ok so far, but rain is badly needed. Farmers are busy spraying and haying.

The Parish will be participating in VBS at Faith Morris this yr. from 7\26-7/31. Please contact either the faith or Parish office for more details or to register.

On the 4th of July at Kong this yr. we will have joint worship services at 9:30 a.m., followed by a brunch

Arne Robert Larson (David & Hannah) is the newest member of Kongsvinger. His baptism was on May 30th at Kong.

  Wed eve services are at 7 p.m.; bible studies are Mon eve at 7 p.m., and Tue a.m. at 10 a.m.

Community organization meetings: The Rendsville 4-h meets on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at St John's Donnelly. The City council meets on the 1st Sat of the month at 4 p.m. at city hall.  The community club meetings are on the 2nd Mon of the month at the community hall at 7 p.m. & the Donnelly Fire Department meets on the 2nd and 3rd Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the fire hall. The Stevens county genealogical society will resume meeting in Sept.

 The bookmobile has resumed its regular schedule with stops in Donnelly on the 2nd & 4th Monday of the month on Main Street from 2:45–3:00 p.m.; for more info, call 218.739.5286 or visit https://www.viking.lib.mn.us/bookmobile. Also, the VLS is offering a summer reading program: Vlsbookmobile.beanstack.org.

 At the Place to Be in Donnelly at 6 p.m. on June 24th, July 8th, and 22nd Aug.5 & 19th at 6 p.m., the DFD will be having a meat raffle.

Rusc Kinship events: garden gala June 23rd, 5–7 p.m. Pomme de Park: family fun night Pomme de Terre public access starting at 5:30 p.m. For more info, call  (320) 585-7872  http://www.rusckinship.org/

Plans continue to have a threshing bee this year, hopefully. Anyone with ideas of activities/events we could add should contact an officer with the community club. 

From Sandy Dunn: As of now, the planning has started for the scheduling of the Bee as usual. 

Starting June 1st -20th, we will be looking for candidates interested in running for our 2021/2022 Threshing Bee Royalty.

Eligibility for Little Miss candidates are ages 8-10, and Queen/Princess candidates are ages 14-18. There is a box in the Donnelly po for nominations

The threshing bee royalty was a part of the Cyrus Days parade.

The past week BBB at the fireside, regular services, adult Ed bible studies wed eve services at Gs, ll games at wells, Cyrus Days activities.

While in Cyrus, I visited some with former Donnelly area resident David Jergenson

.Kamren Sperr of Donnelly is an intern at Cenex Harvest States (elevator) this summer

Carmen Marlene Peterson of Hoffman passed away on June 1st. Among her survivors is her sister-in-law Janet Olson of Hoffman, formerly of Donnelly.

Raymond Chapman Burrow born May 27th Jim & Jenna Burrow of Morris grandparents include Scott & Beth Heinrich of Morris

Peggy Jergenson was among the support staff at MAS honored recently

Becky Deihl c/o CentraCare Saint Cloud Hospital address 1406 6 Avenue north Saint Cloud MN  56303 room 17, she recently had a leg amputated.
