Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news
Weather news:  as most of you have read /heard there was a hail storm in the Donnelly area on July 19. Fortunately, from what I have heard and seen, there was no significant damage from the storm, mostly leaves knocked of trees. I saw some fields had some damage, understand some car windows got broken, etc. Crops continue to look very good especially the corn; vegetables I have seen on display at the fairs are small yet.
ST. John's/ Kongsvinger news: joint services at 9:30 a.m. on 1st, 3rd, 5th Sundays of the month at Kongsvinger, 2nd, 4th Sunday at ST. John's followed by a coffee hour at both churches. Communion service 1st and 4th Sundays
The parish is again coordinating the annual block party on July 30 at St John's from 5–7 p.m., free-will offering for the food shelf
Luther crest VBS will be held on July 29th-August 1st at Faith Morris starting at 9 a.m. cosponsored by the parish, Faith and First Morris and Trinity Cyrus. Contact the church office for more info.
There will be lawn chair worship at faith –Morris on July 28 at 9 a.m.

GSLC news: Summer services continue every Wednesday at 7 p.m., Pr Nate Hanson will be preaching on the 31st
The posters and buttons for the bee have arrived I have a few otherwise call 320-246-3337. You can also visit the website: donellythreshingbee.com; the theme is 54 years of hometown fun, the feature is gas engines next year it is Ford /New Holland
Meet the threshing bee royalty candidates on August 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the community hall
Donnelly city council meets on August 3 in the council chamber at 4 p.m.

The rendsville 4-h will not meet in August due to the fair
The Stevens county genealogical society meets on August 1 at 1:30 p.m. at the library
On August 12 the bookmobile is in town from 3:45-- 4:00 p.m. on Main St. and The community club and DFD will meet at 7 p.m. in the community and fire halls
Herman red hatters meet on August 5 at AJ's in Herman at 9 a.m.
Olivia Kay Morris-Durkee was born June 27, 2019, at Stevens Community Medical Center to Kasey Morris and Justin Durkee of Morris, MN. Olivia weighed 7 lbs.12 oz. and was 20 inches long. Grandparents are Jamie Morris of Winona, MN and Vicky Squier and Bruce Beyer of Morris/Donnelly. Great-grandparents are Marty Morris of Sunlakes, AZ, Edgar Evenson of Peterson, MN and Richard and Rose Squier of Morris, MN.
