I wish my mother a happy mother's day up in Heaven
Weather news: the past week has been mostly sunny and cool,
seen a few fields worked up in the area and a former neighbor doing some
planting, however as I am writing this on Wednesday aft, it has been raining
.most of the day
ST. John's/ Kongsvinger news: joint services at 9:30 a.m.,
on May 12th at St John's and on May 19th at Kongsvinger followed by coffee hour
Baccalaureate Sunday is May 19th, if anybody has an h.s
and/or higher Ed grad, please let the parish office know a.s.a.p., we have two
h.s. Grads from Kongsvinger this year I will have my annual graduation
recognition issue sometime in the next month, so please let me know if you have
any graduates.
GSLC news: May 19th is confirmation Sunday
Donnelly youth club meets on May 15th 4–6 p.m. at St John's
May 13th Donnelly fire department meets at the fire hall,
and the community club meets at city hall both 7 p.m.
Doug Wilts of the Chokio/Donnelly area passed away on May
3rd
Patty Stahn of Chokio passed away on May 2nd survivors
include her husband former Donnelly area resident Art Stahn
Former Donnelly area resident Marie Jean Smith Farmer of Franklin
KY passed away on April 30th survivors include her cousin Marcia
Schroeder of Alberta formerly of Donnelly and sister in law Jan (Smith) Bumgardner of Morris
Abner Jacobson of Benson passed away on May 7th.
Many of you will remember that he and the late George Willie of Donnelly cried
many auctions in the area over the years
An open house bridal shower for Hannah McNally, bride to be
of Jeremy Michaelson, will be 1 p.m., today (Saturday), at Old No. 1 Bar and
Grill in Morris
Benjamin Bradley Backman born on May 7th to Kris Backman of
Minneapolis, his grandparents, are Brad and Jonna Backman of Morris, great grandmother is Liz Aschman of Morris
Past week: st co-gen soc. Mtg at the library, Heil
visitation at faith-Morris,
Ahrndt celebration and bible study at Gs, NAPS at sr. center
(w/Eystad's) Stahn visitation Chokio, BBB- met lounge
