donnelly news

June 3rd -9th

Welcome to part 1 of the graduation edition of the Donnelly news
Weather news: the first part of Memorial Day weekend was sunny and nice, the second part cold and windy. There are still a fair number of fields to be planted yet.
St. John’s Kongsvinger news: The summer schedule will continue until early September, Sunday services are at 10 A.M.; Wednesday evenings are at 7 P.M. Upcoming services are on June 4th at Kongsvinger, June 11th ;at ST. John’s: June 14th.at Kongsvinger. A complete schedule can be found in the May newsletter, copies are available at both churches, or from the parish office.

GSLC news: Wednesday evening services start on June 7th at 7 p.m. and continue through the end of June
VBS will be held on June 26-29th at GS in conjunction with Zion-Morris again this year

Community news:  On June 5th the Bookmobile will be in Donnelly on Main Street from 3:45-4 p.m.; the Herman Red Hats meet at AJ's in Herman at 9 a.m. Please bring photo of your dad 

Raising up Stevens County Kinship’s” Growing Kids and Kinship Garden Gala and patio dedication” will be held at the Pomme de Park, on June 8th from 5-7:30 p.m.

City council meets today (Saturday) at 4 p.m.in the city hall
There will be an open house bridal shower in honor of Stacy Fussy, bride-to-be of Justin Koehntop, from 10 a.m. to noon today (Saturday) at the Morris Eagles Backroom. Everyone is welcome. His parents are Dan and Jeanne Koehntop of Donnelly, Tom and Kelly Classen of Chokio, his grandmother is Lois Koehntop of Donnelly



Committal services for former Donnelly area resident Marilyn Hagen of California, will be held on June 13th at 11 a.m. at the Kongsvinger Lutheran cemetery of rural Donnelly

Past week: visit to my aunt Pearl in her apt. graduation exercises at MAHS, visiting Iver Aal at the Barret care center, grad reception for Kalley Hottovy at her home, Memorial Day services at Morris armory, bible study at GS w/Eystad’s; LL game at UMM;BBB at Met Lounge. I also spent time Saturday decorating graves in the area and Mon went to Hancock to see the trails for transplant riders go through the area
