Weather news well the weather has finally turned nice for
a while and farmers are very busy getting the fields worked and crops in
St John’s/Kongsvinger news: Youth club at St. John’s from
4-6 p.m. on May 18th
Anyone with a graduate in the family this year is asked
to let the parish office know ASAP, baccalaureate Sunday is May 22nd during
joint services at Kong at 11 a.m.
The May newsletter is out which includes the summer
worship schedule starting on May 29th
Good shepherd Lutheran church news: cleanup day at the
church today (Saturday) starting at 8 a.m.

Community news: The Bookmobile will be in town on Main
Street in Donnelly on May 9th and 23rd from 3:45-4 p.m.
The Donnelly community club will meet on May 9th
at 7 p.m. at the Donnelly hall
The Donnelly fire dept. will meet on May 9th &
16th at 7 p.m. at the fire hall
The dist. 12 dfl convention
will held on May 12th time and place to be announced
Anyone interested in
participating in a city wide garage sale on May 13-14th contact Lori

the Altrich estate auction in Donnelly.
Death Notice Stanley Schliep
of Appleton passed away on Apr. 29th his wife Marion of Holloway passed
away on Apr. 23rd; survivors include Stan’s sister Irene (Ken) van
Horn of Morris formerly of Donnelly

Celebrations: The tiger boys and girls track team
finished 2nd in the Benson meet:
100M– (8) Islande Sperr finished 8th in the
100 m and was also a member of the 4 x 100 m relay team that won first place
3200M – (1) Savannah Aanerud
Levin Strand was a member of the 4x100m relay team that
placed first and the 4 x 200 team that finished 2nd
In pelican rapids meet the girls took 2nd & boys 7th
3200M – (6) Savannah Aanerud 13:23.37
Islande Speer was a member of the 4x100 that finished 3rd
Sisseton meet: girls’ first boys 6th
4x100 & 4x200 m relay 5th Levin strand was
a member of that team and also a member 1600 sprint that finished 2nd 200 m
Dakota lupke finished 35th; girls Savannah Aanerud was a member of the 4 x 800 m
relay team that finished first she also finished 2nd in the 800 m relay
Islande speer finished 19th in the 100 m dash 17th in the
200 m
Hawley meet girls 2nd boys 4th 200 m
Islande Sperr 10th she was also a member of the 4x100m relay team that finished
2nd, 400 m Savannah Aanerud 6th boys 600 m Dakota lupke 16th
Levin strand was a member of the 4x200 m relay team that finished first
Brady Jergenson was named one of the players of week in
the west central conference
Greta Kathleen Rudnicki was born on April 8th,
to Scott and Jen (Kopel) Rudnicki of Brainerd. Grandparents are Rob and Kathy
Kopel of Donnelly.
Jerry and Joan Kopacek were among the five members of the
VFW Auxiliary who traveled to Willmar Sunday April 24th for the 5th District
meeting and testimonial supper.
A number of students from the Donnelly area are among
those who made the 3 q honor roll at Morris area H.S. too many to list here so
I will say congrats to all of them.
In a few weeks I will do my annual graduation issue if
you have a grad please let me know
